Finally. After years of Canadian governments at all levels, from federal, to provincial to municipal tolerating the spectacle of massed protests against Israel, claiming it is engaged in genocide against Palestinians, calling for a global Intifada, chanting 'From the river to the sea Palestine will be free', chorusing 'Final Solution', tormenting and threatening Canadian Jews, while insisting on their right to ventilate through 'free speech', it has taken a group of non-Jewish Canadian corporate heads and their influential companies to counter the public Jew-hate-fest in demanding a cessation to the vile and viral antisemitism that has overtaken the country since the Palestinian terrorist attacks on southern Israel on 7 October, 2023.

 

Prominent Canadian business, political and educational leaders condemning antisemitism, speaking out for enforcement of anti-hate laws. These are requests made time and again by Canadian Jewish leaders in appealing to the federal government to take action against the constant agitation and slanderous charges made in public since Israel suffered its worst mass pogrom in memory. Where it has taken a carefully constructed and orchestrated public relations mission by fundamentalist Muslims and Palestinian-student-led groups to delegitimize Israel and threaten the security of Jewish Canadians to create a split in Canadian society of 'victim' and 'oppressor'.

 

Jews who have for years on end, decade after decade, been victimized by Palestinian-led deadly violence presented by their persecutors as 'oppressors', and themselves not as the vectors of hate and sadistic savagery in mass rape and murder, but the victims of a people asserting their historic place in the Middle East as ancestrally indigenous. While migrants from Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Iraq settling in historically Judean lands call themselves the original Palestinians, inheritors of Judea, Samaria and Gaza with a mission to slaughter Jews in pursuit of their aims of conquest of all that is not theirs.

Under the Liberal governments of the past decade a vast influx of Muslim immigrants, refugees and migrants have swelled the Canadian population where they now represent two million in total as opposed to the Jewish Canadian population of 400,000. Where in political terms two million become more influential at the ballot box than a group many times smaller, despite that the latter has had a much longer presence in Canada, helping to make it the country it has become, integrating within the general population while to the former the laws of the country become subservient to that of Sharia. 

 

This is the Canada that prides itself on multiculturalism and equality under the law, guaranteed by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Yet although the Jewish Canadian community has been under unspeakable levels of duress and threats, existing laws, more than capable of addressing the situation fail to be invoked by any level of government, and police have acted to protect those emitting threats, while giving short shrift to the threatened, with rare exception. 

 

Following the publication of that letter in the select newspapers of the Postmedia Network, Prime Minister Mark Carney has suddenly come alive, responding to the direct action demanded by the corporate signees. This is the prime minister who equates his rejection of antisemitism equally with that of 'Islamophobia'. And while it is Islamists that have lit the explosive social disgrace of antisemitism in Canada, to name them as such represents a clear instance of nothing short of 'Islamophobia'. A cardinal sin that will not be committed by Mark Carney.

Canada obligingly assisted  in the approval of a motion for the Islamic Republic of Iran -- that would be the Iranian regime that just a few months earlier responded to nation-wide protests against the regime by dispatching police, the IRGC and Basij to violently disband the protests by all and any means, leading to the killing of an estimated 30,000 Iranians and the arrests and death sentences of untold numbers of 'enemies of the Islamic Republic' -- to a position on the UN's Committee for Program and Coordination.

 

Iranian-Canadians who desperately wish for the Ayatollah-led, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-enforced Republic to fall, and yearn for the freedom from oppression that would mean for their families in Iran, would have reacted to the news of this incredible betrayal with disbelief. While at the same time, the infiltrated members of the regime and the IRGC that have made a home for themselves in Canada would have beamed with pleasure. Just as Hamas has on occasion congratulated the ruling Liberal government for some of its decisions, now the Iranian regime was given the same opportunity.

 

Officially, for internal consumption, the Liberal government of prime minister Mark Carney denied any such reports; that they did no such thing. The actual facts belie that assertion. Canada gave aid and comfort to a regime under the duress of a conflict brought by the State of Israel and the U.S. military launching an aerial war on the regime, its military, the IRGC, their weapons depots and rocket launchers and nuclear sites. While the Iranian regime presents a distinct danger with its nuclear ambitions and its sponsorship of terrorist groups to the world at large and the Middle East in particular, Canada's government calls for a ceasefire so the regime can survive.

 

Canada's decision at the April 8 meeting of the UN Economic and Social Council enables Iran to have an advisory and oversight role on programs as diverse as gender equality and terrorism prevention, as well as 'peaceful uses of outer space'. Global Affairs Canada's insistence that Canada's role in the event has been misunderstood, is an evasive and shameful tactic in a bid to shield the government from the shame and blame it most certainly deserves for betraying the most elemental foundations of human rights against tyrannical rule. 

 

Official video from the UN Economic and Social Council, most recently chaired by Bob Rae, Canada's ambassador to the UN, showed an official chairing a plenary session of the council where the Islamic Republic of Iran was included on a list of countries set to be appointed to a three-year term on the Committee for Program and Co-ordination. With no objections from the representatives of the assembled countries, the officiating individual bangs a gavel and declares: "It is so decided". 

 

And Canada helped in that decision; not a word of doubt expressed of the inappropriateness of a corrupt, terror-promoting, nation known for persecuting its own people -- much less its violence visited upon Iranian women who dare to oppose strictures placed upon their most basic of human rights -- sitting on such a committee from Canada.

In Hindsight : Losing Canada

He was one of the most effectively reliable prime ministers Canada has had; principled, intelligent, informed, a man of earnest integrity and love of country. Some of those who voted him into office -- one minority and two majority governments -- missed him from the moment the Conservative Party of Canada lost the 2015 election and the Liberal Party of Canada became the governing body under the most unsuitable, unprepared and unprincipled prime minister Canada has ever had; Justin Trudeau. 

 

Now, the current Liberal Prime Minister Mark Carney promises to be the second-most unsuitable, out-of-his-depth prime minister of Canada.

 

Former Prime Minister Stephen Harper was an economist before he became prime minister and his administration bears no resemblance whatever to the current office-holder, a central banker, whose grasp of economics seems fairly incompetent. Perhaps not so much as his predecessor, Justin Trudeau, who felt the economy would look after itself:  "The commitment needs to be a commitment to grow the economy, and the budget will balance itself".

 

To that end, after inheriting a balanced budget, the Liberals claimed they would run a $10B deficit for three years to 'build infrastructure' after which a balanced budget would be produced by 2019. The first three years of Liberal mismanagement of the economy saw the deficit come in at $19 billion for starters. By 2025, when Trudeau left the prime ministership the national debt was $1.2 trillion, somewhat higher than the $612 billion he had inherited a decade earlier.

 

While in office, when the opposition Liberals and NDP insisted the government bring Syrian refugees into Canada en masse, PM Harper responded: "We do not want to pick up our entire communities ... and move them out of the region where they have lived for as long as history has been written. They do not want that. They want us to help them. That is why we provide refugee placements, friends. That is why we provide humanitarian aid."

Fast forward ten years and "hundreds of thousands of people" entered Canada with scant security checks as the Liberal government ignored entire categories of quotas and checks on temporary immigration  (many dating from the Harper government); in the process seeing an unprecedented surge of temporary migrants entering Canada The number of 'non-permanent' residents soared by 1.7 million in three years, overwhelming the capacity to screen them. Leading to a 'standard' of foreign nationals claiming refugee status through an ever-so-convenient app. 

 

The Harper-era government brought in a measure to prevent corruption in awarding of contracts by government, leading to the Public Prosecutions Act, designed to prevent political interference in criminal prosecutions. The law enacted by the Harper government placed the situation in control of a politically independent 'director of public prosecutions'. It was this act that succeeded in revealing the 2019 episode when Trudeau pressed his then-justice minister to forgo a bribery case against a Quebec engineering company with close ties to the Liberals.

 

During his administration, PM Harper removed home delivery at the request of Canada Post management, reflecting the downward spiral of mail volumes making it too costly for letter-carriers to continue door-to-door daily deliveries. At that juncture, the national mail corporation still turned a profit and closing down home delivery meant the spigot of losing money was turned off. The Liberals campaigned on a promise to restore home delivery. Almost immediately it was restored hundreds of billions annually began hemorrhaging for Canada Post, leading it to the door of bankruptcy. 

 

In 2010 the Harper government suspended Canada's contributions to the UNRWA agency, a central provider of aid ad-infinitum to Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. Accusations the agency was intermingled with Palestinian terror groups such as Hamas led to that cancellation. The Liberals restored funding to UNRWA in 2015. By 2023 following the October 7 terrorist attack on southern Israel, hard evidence emerged of UNRWA employing members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad; including a top Hamas commander.

 

When the Liberals took the reins of power in Canada they spoke of an intention to 'modernize' the criminal justice system with the introduction of 'restorative justice' to reduce the number of Indigenous offenders in prison. Bill C-75, a crime bill, was made law in 2018 to simplify bail for accused criminals and codifying treating offenders more leniently based on race. Stemming from a 'vulnerable population', criminals received bail faster and were released earlier from prison. 

 

Since then, Statistics Canada's crime severity stats reflect that when Mr. Harper left office, homicides and violent crime were at lows never before seen in the history of Canada. Since his departure from office as prime minister, however, crime began trending uphill steadily, sitting now at the point where  homicides have hit 30-year highs. This represents the Liberal version of progress.

Canada, Infiltrated by Foreign Agents

"Unlike some of its allies, Canada lacks a transparent mechanism to ensure the public is informed about attempts by foreign entities to influence Canadian political and governmental processes. As a result, foreign principals and their proxies can secretly seek to shape Canadian decisions and public opinion."

"Some activities by foreign entities are carried out secretly or in a non-transparent manner, often using proxies and tactics such as spreading misinformation."

According to the federal government's own estimates close to 2,500 businesses or people are in Canada surreptitiously acting on behalf of foreign states for the purpose of directly influencing local politics and governments. They would all be required to register publicly under regulations linked to a long-awaited foreign agent registry. A tool that was expected to be fully operational a year ago, still awaiting the appointment of a Foreign Influence Transparency Commissioner who would be tasked with overseeing the registry.

 

Business and individuals would have to provide data describing the work they perform on behalf of and at the behest of a foreign government, meant to influence Canadian politics and governments. Penalties have been proposed ranging from $50 to $1 million imposed on foreign agents failing to respect registration rules. The document itself estimates that 1,550 businesses and 872 individuals will be required to declare foreign influence activities targeting Canada. 

 

Democratic allies such as the U.S., U.K., France and Australia set the standard in public registries for foreign agents; Canada has not yet recognized the absolute necessity to follow suit, the Liberal government taking its time to join them in this critical exercise. It is well known and has been proven that foreign agents abound in Canada representing the interests of China, Iran, Russia, and India. Members of Iran's IRGC are known to be resident in Canada, harassing Iranian-Canadians. Mainland Chinese agents in Canada track and threaten Chinese-Canadians hostile to the CCP. Russian agents are known to spread false and misleading new stories, among other issues.

Canada is also known as a conduit for money-laundering benefiting countries and groups hostile to Canada and its democratic values. In sum total, countries from everywhere on the globe, many falling under a non-hostile category, conduct foreign influence sorties in Canada. It is those countries who secretly seek influence among Canadians and the country's democratic institutions with the use of illegitimate means such as disinformation and misinformation that the registry will track. 

 

A year and a half ago Parliament passed a bill that promised the creation of a public registry of agents working for a foreign government. It is only in this new year that a 30-day consultation period will proceed to finalize a registry. And even then until a Foreign Influence Transparency Commissioner has been appointed, the registry cannot be implemented. An appointed commissioner would be responsible for hiring staff and implementing a secure IT protocol for the public registry. 

 

The truth of the matter is that Canada under the Liberal government fails to take the matter of foreign influence in the country seriously. The most challenging and threatening foreign predator in Canada is the Chinese Communist Party. Its influence within the Chinese community, manipulating the voting patterns of those loyal to Beijing is a direct interference in the sovereignty of the country. Yet the Liberal government itself is well infiltrated by Chinese influencers at every level. 

 

Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to travel to Beijing next week, accompanied by Liberal Member of Parliament Michael Ma, to meet with China's President Xi Jinping on outstanding trade issues. The issue of interference in Canadian affairs will certainly not be raised, nor would the harassment of Chinese-Canadians become an issue between the two premiers.

Facebook: Turdeau/Liberals Are Destroying Canada

Blacklock's Reporter made public a program funded by the Digital Citizen Contribution Program,  a Liberal fund described as a means toward "countering online disinformation". As part of its presumed mandate the Program contracted with the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, for the U.K. company to monitor pro-Israel social media accounts in Canada. And its eventual report went on to frame those pro-Israel accounts as "right-wing extremists", whose motivation was led by "anti-Muslim hatred". 

The viral 'protests' that overtook the streets of Canadian cities and set up encampments on the grounds of Canadian universities, paraded their numbers and keffiyeh-clad members shouting invective at Canadian Jews and the State of Israel, recommending a global 'Intifada', a 'Final Solution', and 'From the River to the Sea', condemning Israel as genocidal, with an intent to annihilate Palestinians from land rightfully belonging to them, and not to Jews as their ancestral heritage geography, denigrating the presence of Jews in Canada. Yet these protests are characterized as peaceful events.

 

The targets of the pro-Palestinian -- Hamas-supporting-and-admiring Palestinian student groups in Canada who faced intimidation and threats in their very neighbourhoods with municipal police agents doing nothing to subdue the situation, or offer protection to Jews, while offering assistance to the civic-disturbing and obviously antisemitic throngs of anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian groups engaging in mass prayer sessions, shutting down highway access in a show of conquest -- were continually warned not to confront their tormentors. And it was the Jews who were ushered away, not those who threatened them.

 

Yet the Jews were the designated 'right-wing' threats to society by the U.K. contractor, and not the illegal actions of their indefatigable persecutors whose threats and implied violence clearly identified them as uncivilized malefactors. A few months following the October 7 massacres of Israelis in southern Israel by Hamas terrorists who rushed across the border in their thousands to wreak bloody havoc, the Liberal government of Justin Trudeau hired the London firm at a cost of $128,258.

 

The project was titled Digital Analysis Situation Room and Rapid Response Programming for Israel/Gaza-related Extremism, Hate and Mis/Disinformation in Canada. What resulted was a series of reports with the claims the Israel-Hamas conflict had caused an inflammation of "extremism, hate and disinformation" among Canadian 'right-wing extremists', exacerbating "online harms" in Canada. "Several influential accounts, particularly on X, have taken a staunch pro-Israeli position since the attacks on October 7", one report warned.

 

The post that was excerpted in one of the reports, posted by Facebook's Turdeau/Liberals Are Destroying Canada, was included as an example of an 'extremist' post that spread disinformation that "policing of protests related to the Israel-Hamas conflict has been inconsistent". Pro-Palestinian 'protest' demonstrations featured calls of "death to Israel", with banners praising "armed resistance". A recognizable pattern of demonstrators celebrating the October 7 massacres in the immediate aftermath and the first anniversary of attacks go unremarked and undenounced; presumably innocent in nature and definitely not 'extreme right-wing'.

 

Palestinian Youth Movement, one of Canada's most prominently active anti-Israel groups held a rally of celebration in "honour [of] the martyrs of the past year". In reference to which the Institute for Strategic Dialogue pointed out the extremist nature of any statement that the demonstrations were "protesting for the death of Jews and Jewish state"; an obviously unforgivable surrender to Islamophobia on the part of Jewish 'extreme right-wing' trouble-makers within society.

 

The Liberal government of Justin Trudeau, renewed Canada's funding of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, after it was suspended by the previous Conservative government. That funding of UNRWA was renewed again by the Liberal government, irrespective of the proven fact that the agency was forced to dismiss nine staffers on the evidence, for taking part in the October 7 attacks in Israel. That UNRWA confirmed a top Hamas commander killed in Lebanon was one of its employees seemed irrelevant to the Trudeau government.

 

According to the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, online posts that sought to link Canada's UNRWA funding with the October 7 attacks represented trafficking in right-wing extremism. "Disinformation" or "misinformation" in the public arena is profoundly disturbing to the Liberal government in Canada. The Online Harms Act, legislation to broaden police powers to punish online speech and preliminary detention of Canadians suspected of posting hateful speech may yet be the future, since Prime Minister Mark Carney appears willing to reconsider its passing.

The Liberal government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau introduced Canada to a rare kind of progressivism, one that championed Critical Race Theory, DEI, LGBTQ-2+ to hallowed status none dared challenge lest they be called 'racist', and above all the right of children to declare themselves other than their birth gender, paving the way for hormone therapy and surgery for children supported by the medical community convinced children knew themselves better than biological inheritance augured for their future.

 

Taking their cue from the federal government, governments at all levels, professional associations, school boards, academia and business leaders and national corporations leaned progressively left, not to be left out of the most recent social craze that celebrated trans and non-binary sex education in primary schools. The classroom was where children could be 'themselves', a change of gender and naming that encouraged all involved not to divulge these personal choices to the parents involved.

 

With the Liberal government in full throttle, national leaders from Germany and Japan travelled to Canada to make their case for acquiring energy resources from Canadian abundant natural resources when their major supply was interrupted thanks to Moscow's full-scale invasion of Ukraine that interrupted the flow of gas to Europe and shipments of grain and fertilizer from Ukraine and Russia. Their concerns were given short shrift by Canada's prime minister who was proud of the fact that he hadn't a head for finance but stated a lack of 'business case' for providing gas to energy-starved nations.

 

His unconcern over Canada sharing its own energy resources within its own borders, choosing to restrain oil and gas output in favour of importing oil from abroad was a hallmark of the Liberal control of Canadian pipelines, greatly disfavoured and more often cancelled. Predictably, investment in Canada's natural resources shriveled although forestation exploitation continued apace; another 'renewable' source of trade that could be countenanced.

 

The extent to which Canada was transformed under Justin Trudeau's style of government was brought home when it was revealed that through immigration, refugee intake and illegal migration, alongside foreign student and foreign worker programs, Canada's population exploded by a million newcomers in a year, explaining in large part, the uncommon strain on Canada's generous social security system, its universal medicare, its housing and accommodation, with demands on Food Banks and homeless accommodations burgeoning past municipalities' capacity to cope.

 

But the most visible, dramatic and sinister outcome of the Liberals' policy on 'come-one-come-all' accommodation for a growing population base was the spectre of Islamist infiltration into Canadian society, with Muslim permanent-resident and citizenship demographics agitating for Sharia law in Canada, and filling the streets of Canadian cities with keffiyeh-clad Palestinian-Hamas sympathizers claiming that Israel was committing 'genocide' in Gaza in responding to the Palestinian terrorist groups' October 7, 2023 invasion of southern Israel where thousands of psychopaths armed with hate and weaponry murdered Jews in a display of sadistic savagery.

 

Where, to this very day, in the nation's capital, in the capital city of Ontario, in Alberta and British Columbia, wildly hateful antisemitic 'protests' take place with masked Hamas-supporters threatening Canadian Jews, threatening Canadian politicians who refuse to state that Israel is committing 'genocide' in daring to hold terrorists to account, terrorists who promise they are prepared to launch one October 7 after another until Israel is destroyed. The Liberal government vacillated between support of an ally and sympathy for the Palestinian 'cause' of 'From the river to the sea' and 'Intifada', and 'Final Solution'.

Now, the man who would be Prime Minister of Canada, a man whose Liberal-woke-environmental agenda is more devious and substantial than that of his predecessor, is vying to take Trudeau's place, claiming that as a former world banker, a highly respected economist of great repute -- according to his self-analysis -- he is prepared to bring Canada to a higher plane of success through his economic prowess, which to judge by Britain's assessment of his ruinous stint as Governor of the Bank of England, would bring ruin to Canada, but he stands prepared to take up where Justin Trudeau left off.

 

Vote Mark Carney on April 28 for the complete and utter ruination of Canada, its economy, its standing globally as a democracy, for the continuation of an Islamist takeover, for the opportunity to repent at leisure what could have been avoided by voting in a majority Conservative government pledged to restore Canadian values, led by Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre whose quality of politics and love for Canada and its people is genuine and in whom Canadians of any intelligence should place their trust.

The separatist Khalistan movement in India itself is quiescent. Sikhs living in India appear to have adjusted their expectations from loudly and often violently advocating for a separate Sikh homeland in the Punjab, to the present time when the Indian Sikh community seems to have no interest in re-awakening a conflict that saw their Golden Temple at Amritsar used by militant Sikhs to launch a violent insurrection against India, leading to Indian troops invading the temple to rout the militants.

Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi trusted Sikhs to the extent that they formed her personal bodyguard. Yet it was from among that personal bodyguard that her assassination following the raid on the Golden Temple was carried out. The hostilities between Hindu India and Sikhs in India cost many lives during a period of distrust, rage and violence. That was then, this is now, when all live peacefully, the issue of a Khalistan sovereign state shelved.

It has been kept alive, however, not by Sikhs in India, but by the great numbers of diaspora Sikhs living in Great Britain and in Canada. A minority of Canadian Sikhs subscribe to violence in the name of a Khalistani state. They have perpetrated vicious crimes against other Canadian Sikhs who condemn their violence in the name of their Khalistan dream. And a cabal of Sikh terrorists were responsible for the single most deadly act of terrorism perpetrated from Canada. 

A plan to strike a blow for Khalistani independence was hatched in British Columbia within its large Sikh community by a handful of violence-addicted Sikhs. Air India Flight 182 became a target in 1985 when a bomb was placed aboard the passenger jet causing it to disintegrate over the Atlantic causing the immediate deaths of all 329 people aboard, 268 of whom were Canadian citizens. Those responsible were known, charged and tried for the crime. However, only one man pleaded guilty, the bombmaker. The other two who masterminded the plot went on trial decades after the event, and found not guilty.

To this day, celebrations of Sikh terrorist leaders are paraded in Canada, and the campaign for a Khalistani homeland continues One of those who was involved in a leadership role was assassinated in Surrey, British Columbia, a suburb of Vancouver, shot to death as a separatist figure. Hardeep Singh Nijjar was listed in India as a terrorist suspect involved in a 2007 bombing in a Punjab cinema. Indian intelligence identified him as the operator of a terrorist training camp in Mission, B.C.

A list of nine Indian terror operatives that included Nijjar was given to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on his 2018 visit to India. At the time of his death Nijjar's name appeared on a no-fly list, his bank accounts had been frozen by Canadian authorities. A breakdown in India-Canada relations occurred when Justin Trudeau accused the government of India of having staged Nijjar's assassination. The friendship and mutual support between India and Canada evaporated with that charge, to which no evidence was attached.

A week ago on the one-year anniversary of Nijjar's death, supporters of Khalistan massed outside the Indian consulate in Vancouver, with Khalistani flags, where they staged a mock trial and execution of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A distinct resemblance to the pro-Hamas crowds in Canada post-October 7's massacre of Israelis, where an effigy of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was hanged several weeks ago. 

A mere five days before the anniversary of the 1985 Air India bombing, the Parliamentary moment of silence was staged. The Air India anniversary, on the other hand, was not an occasion for a moment of silence in the House of commons. And then Parliament adjourned for its summer break. Before it did, Member of Parliament Chandra Arya warned that Canada failed to contain "the dark forces" that caused that terrorist attack. "Unfortunately, many Canadians are not aware that even today the ideology responsible for this terrorist attack is still alive among a few people in Canada."

 

 

Ethics? O Canada My Home And Native Land!

After studying a concerning "succession of mistakes" from senior government officials who have a propensity to break ethics laws, the federal Commissioner of Ethics, Mario Dion, called on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to order all his ministers and parliamentary secretaries to seek out additional ethics training. All of whom have been exposed in the past to such training. Before they even take their seats in Parliament, newly-elected Members of Parliament routinely receive a round of ethics training to ensure they are fit to sit in government as lawmakers.

Mr. Dion tabled a report finding that Liberal MP and parliamentary secretary to the prime minister, Greg Fergus broke ethics laws by contacting the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission to influence the board to allow a small television company mandatory carriage in Quebec. Fergus is chair of the Parliamentary Black Caucus and sought to further the aspirations of a Black-owned company attempting to gain a significant windfall of revenue.

As MP Fergus well knows there is a clear prohibition under ethics laws for senior officials wishing to exert any form influence or pressure on a tribunal; that very issue is one repeated frequently in reports and public guidelines on the website of the Ethics Commission. The report the Ethics Commissioner released on this matter is the second in a three-month period where a Liberal MP was found by Mr. Dion in breach of ethics laws. International Trade Minister Mary Ng was reprimanded for her personal involvement in two contracts issued by her department to a company owned by her "close friend", a former Liberal staffer. 

Mr. Dion's predecessor prior to 2018 when he took the office, published a report that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau broke conflict of interest laws by accepting two flights from the Aga Khan (who petitions government) and vacationing with his family on the Aga Khan's sumptuous private island. Since then, Mr. Dion completed two dozen additional investigations into Liberal ministers (including the prime minister in two more occasions), MPs and top public servants and government agency administrators subject to the Conflict of Interest Act.

No fewer than five senior Liberals were found in violation of ethics laws, including Trudeau and the-hen Liberal Finance Minister. Over the period of his mandate as commissioner Dion's office gave 140 presentations on ethics and conflict of interest obligations to thousands of attendees, one third of those lectures Mr. Dion presented himself. "Giving a contract to a friend, I don't think you require much training to understand this isn't appropriate", commented Mr. Dion. "Something has to be done" to show they "are taking this seriously". 

The Conflict of Interest Act, points out Mr. Dion, states specifically that respecting that law represents a "condition of employment" for public office holders it applies to. In theory, anyone who breaches the act could lose their job if the individual at the top takes the Act seriously. "I don't think the crafters of the act envisaged the situation where a prime minister would be found in breach himself. So it has created a very special situation", added Mr. Dion.

"Twice already, Canada's conflict of interest and ethics commissioner, has found the prime minister violated ethics rules. The first occasion was in 2017, when former commissioner Mary Dawson ruled on Trudeau and his family accepting a vacation on the Aga Khan's private island in the Bahamas."

"The second occasion was just last year, when the current commissioner, Mario Dion, found that Trudeau had tried to influence then-justice minister Jody Wilson-Raybould to overrule a decision not to grant a deferred prosecution agreement to SNC-Lavalin."

"Dion already had announced he would be looking into the decision to grant the WE Charity a sole-sourced contract to administer the Canada Student Service Grant when the charity revealed it and its affiliates had paid the prime minister's mother and brother about $300,000 for speaking engagements over the last four years."

Salma Zahid, Liberal Member of Parliament who convened an event that brought together supporters of the Canada-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group, explained when the presence of this Holocaust-denying antisemite was revealed on Parliament Hill, that it simply was not possible for her group to vet everyone who turns up at one of their events. The invitation to attend, however, went out broadly to those within the Palestinian-Canadian community and this prominent member of the community took it upon himself to attend.

 

She spoke as though she had no idea who he was, what he represents, why he would have attended the event. That she would be unaware of any of that is hugely unlikely, given her own prominent presence within the community. And now it emerges that they have a fairly close personal and professional relationship. Three years earlier a full-page advertisement for Salma Zahid appeared in the Khatatba newspaper causing her to forswear any future advertising in al Meshwar. 

 

However, when she was appointed a year later to the chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group, he was one of 16 attendees in a Zoom meeting. Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez, prompted by the media monitoring group Honest Reporting Canada, stated his intention to investigate how Khatatba's newspaper was awarded federal COVID-19 subsidies. Documenting Antisemitism in Canada, an advocacy group noticed that the Secretary of the Fatah Movement in Canada, Nabil Nassar, was also present at the Parliamentary gathering.

 

The very fact that these people associated with terrorism in the Middle East have a presence in Canada should be troubling; that they have the freedom and the opportunity to infiltrate Canada's Parliament is another concern altogether. Nassar publicly mourned the death of Ramadan Shalah, a former leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group notorious for mounting attacks in Israel. Nassar has praised terrorists like Ali Hassan Salameh the planner of the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre. Khatatba laid claim that the 11 Israeli athletes' massacre represented a Mossad operation.

 

Which brings us back to August when it was revealed that federal funding went to Laith Marouf, an antisemite and racist whose declarations of hateful antisemitism on Twitter make him well known to the Jewish community and praised by the Palestinian community. Diversity and Inclusion Minister Ahmed Hussen had celebrated an "anti-racist" contract and grant doled out to Marouf's Community Media Advocacy Centre for him to instruct federally regulated broadcasters in diversity and inclusion.

With a two-decade history of "anti-Zionist" rhetoric behind him and copious numbers of antisemitic statements in his hatred of Jews, no one in government or its agencies interacting with Marouf and signing off contracts for him did any investigative background check on his character. Marouf claims Zionism to be a project of "white Jews who adopted Nazism". Knowing of Marouf's reputation, Liberal MP Anthony Housefather alerted Minister Hussen to Marouf's background.

"I persistently communicated with the minister in his office, from the day I learned about it" (the commissioned anti-racism contract awarded Marouf). A month later Hussen acknowledged the controversy, promising his intention to look into it. Mark Goldberg, a telecom industry specialist, had been warning of this man's activities for the past year and a half, having uncovered  consultation and process participation fees to the tune of $600,000 granted to Marouf by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission.

The associations made by this government in a series of events, with characters of this ilk is troubling beyond measure. No one does any background checks as to the viability of associates contracted with to help operate government programs. No one knows anything, no one seems to care. Unless and until they're brought up short with revelations that reflect poorly on decision-making and associations. That there has been infiltration of a malicious group into the corridors of power is a massive problem.

That one segment of the Canadian population with loyalty to a group it advocates for that is criminally racist, celebrates terrorism, and the death of innocent people in a far-away country and goes out of its way to convince the general public of the concocted stories of 'apartheid' in a country that accepts diversification in its citizenship rolls, enables all its citizens regardless of ethnic origin to be duly elected as public representatives. slandering and demonizing Israel, is profoundly disturbing. 

Canadian Jews are smeared by association, with university campus groups championing the 'Palestinian cause', and threatening the well-being of Jewish students. BDS advocates spurred by Palestinian lies about Israel appeal to the latent antisemism that seems to simmer under the surface, readily brought to action in support of a spurious cause, does no credit to Canada, much less to its deliberately oblivious government-of-the-day.

This government seems to go out of its way to prove time and again that its relationship with its Jewish population is an afterthought. Or that it occupies no thought at all. As when the official opening ceremonies of the Holocaust Memorial took place and it was found that the memorial plaque mentioned the genocide that took place during World War II resulting in the death of countless men, women and children, but somehow managed not to indicate that these were Jews. Nowhere was the very word "Jews' in evidence. An oversight that when drawn to its attention, the government swiftly corrected.

Like the occasional votes in the United Nations that Canada sees fit to vote for that pit the Jewish state against the UN's biased Human Rights Commission. And that despite the Liberal government's assurances that it is in full support of a fellow democracy in a geography of caliphs, dictators and theocracies where it must daily be on alert against violent attacks by Fatah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, it becomes increasingly evident that under this government, it is mere lip service, vastly unlike the authentic commitment of its predecessor Conservative government of Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

A week ago it was revealed that a flaming racist, hypocrite inciting hatred against Jews and Israel had been contracted with to operate an anti-racism program for the federal government. This, despite the group contracted with and funded by Heritage Canada was headed by a Jew-hating racist whose frequent expressions of contempt and threatened violence against Jews were readily accessible for viewing by any curious researcher.

Mere days after a backlash with the discovery of the vile statements of the founder of the Community Media Advocacy Centre, comes news of a statement from Canada's representative to the Palestinian Authority praising a Palestinian official and convicted criminal, Jibril Rajoub. A meeting between Robin Wettlaufer and terrorist-turned Fatah official, Rajoub was followed up with praise issued by the representative to the Palestinian Authority, recognizing the man as a "friend to Canada".

 

Only in the sense that he is most appreciative of the fact that Canada's government is not in the least perturbed at the presence of Palestinians who have permanent residence status or/and Canadian citizenship, or who come to Canada on student visas to study at Canadian universities where they become 'activists' promoting BDS, and mounting protests over speakers invited to address students at conferences, or give lectures, if they are Jews or Israelis, or supporters of the State of Israel.

That contingents of Palestinians and their 'sympathizers' mount yearly Al Quds memorials, mourning the reality of the State of Israel, and Palestinian dispersal from the historically hereditary Judean homeland -- chanting "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!", a none-too-difficult code to decipher inciting for the destruction of Israel -- is a travesty of Canadian hate-law perversion. Palestine was, throughout history, a Roman-derived descriptive for the historical homeland of Judea.

The Palestinian penchant for claiming all that is historically Judean is really Palestinian, from the identity of Jesus himself, to the nomenclature of Palestine, to the ancient Judean prophets as Palestinian, not Jewish, is an exercise is absurdity, yet repeated often enough it finds sympathy in historically ignorant people satisfied to adapt to any groundless slanders that indicate Jews victimize non-Jews, a matter of satisfaction to Jew-haters.

Chairman of the Palestine Olympic Committee, former head of the Palestinian Preventive Security Force, Rajoub incites to violence toward Israel. Sentenced in 1979 to life in prison following his conviction of throwing a grenade at Israel Defence Forces, he was freed after 15 years, in a prisoner exchange. Militant activities (aka terrorism) put him back under arrest on several occasions before he was elevated to a national security adviser post for Yasser Arafat.

Rajoub speaking on Hezbollah-affiliated  television network Al Mayadeen, that the Palestinian Authority would not hesitate to use nuclear weapons against Israel, if it but possessed any. "I swear that if we had a nuke, we'd have used it this very morning", was the translation provided by Palestinian Media Watch. He was suspended and fined by the FIFA disciplinary board in 2018 for inciting hate and violence by calling on soccer fans to burn jerseys and pictures of Argentinian soccer player Lionel Messi before a match in a Jerusalem stadium with his national team.
