They Should Be Ashamed: Mass Global Suicidal Empathy

"Canada intends to recognize the State of Palestine at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2025."
"This intention is predicated on the Palestinian Authority's commitment to much-needed reforms, including the commitments by Palestinian Authority President Abbas to fundamentally reform its governance, to hold general elections in 2025 in which Hamas can play no part, and to demilitarize the Palestinian state."
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney

"I recognize the legitimate concerns regarding Israeli co-operation access to polling stations, and the integrity of the electoral process, particularly in Gaza."
These are serious challenges, but they must be addressed rather than used to justify another indefinite postponement of Palestinian democracy."
"I am therefore appealing to you to intervene personally and urgently with President Abbas, together with Canada's international partners, to ensure that the Palestinian Authority honours its commitment to hold elections."

"[We] deeply regret Abbas' decision to postpone elections scheduled for November 28]."
"Credible elections are an important element of the commitment that President Abbas and the Palestinian Authority made to reform, including democratic renewal and accountable governance, and are in line with the July 2025 New York Declaration."
"Strengthening Palestinian governance is essential to continue building the institutional foundation of a viable two-state solution, which is the only path to lasting peace and security for both Israel and Palestine.
"[The undersigned will] continue to support efforts to deliver on these elections."
Foreign Ministers of Australia, Canada, France, U.K.

"While the Canadian government pursues punitive measures and sanctions against Israel, it must demonstrate that the Palestinians will also be held accountable for failing to honour their commitments and undermining the prospects for peace."
"Yet the Canadian government offers no indication of what consequences the PA will face, while suggesting that Israel is somehow to blame."

When Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced a week earlier that the scheduled November 28 Palestinian elections, about two decades overdue, would be postponed to September 2027 as a result of "obstacles posed by Israeli measures" that would interfere with the "free, fair and inclusive elections", he was simply acting true to form. The last election, held in 2006, demonstrated the popularity of Hamas among Palestinians, enabling it to take majority rule of Gaza. Since then, Hamas has grown even more popular among Palestinians, and the Palestine Authority president more unpopular.

Western countries supporting Palestinian statehood urge a democratic election take place, one that does not include the terrorist Hamas group. But in trusting Palestinians to elect their politicians to reflect the values of a civilized society those same Western democratic countries reveal their ignorance of the Palestinian voting psyche. Immediately following the gruesome mass rapes, mutilations, slaughter and hostage-taking of 7 October 2023, the majority of Palestinians both in Gaza and the West Bank approved of the mass carnage that took place in southern Israel. Given the chance they would vote overwhelmingly for Hamas.

Mahmoud Abbas, whose Fatah-led administration's school curricula teach young Palestinians that the Jews living next door are their implacable enemies, prepared to liquidate them, not merely oppress them -- urge their children to dedicate their futures to the extermination of Israel, that in engaging in missions to murder Jews they guarantee themselves a place in Paradise. Those that do commit crimes against humanity in Israel are guaranteed a place of honour and a lavish salary from the PA's Martyr's Fund, popularly called its "pay for slay" fund. These are the neighbours that France, the U.K., Canada, Spain and Ireland feel Israel should accommodate itself with.

"Israeli measures" that so irritate the  Palestinian Authority include the pressing, ever-present need to remain militarily vigilant in the prevention of suicide attacks against Israelis. Before the separating wall between Israel and the territories and the several Intifadas, the murders perpetrated by Palestinian terrorism on Jewish Israelis kept mounting. That vigilance against further and future such attacks against Israeli civilians is interpreted by Mahmud Abbas as 'occupation'. By a nation unable to trust its neighbour, knowing that once its guard is relaxed, it becomes an invitation for mass slaughter.

When Samer Sinijlaw wrote to Canada's Mark Carney to appeal to him to 'do something' about the postponed election, he was writing to a leader of a country which has never been in the unenviable position of having its intelligence services, military and police on constant duty to ensure that any dire plots of mass murder are nipped before they become reality, and living with the knowledge that they cannot possibly stop all such plans and there will be those that succeed. From afar, leaders like PM Carney posit their simple solutions.

To the perennially threatened these are not solutions, but risible black humour unworthy of world leaders whose neutrality in recognizing an established civil nation with values and laws like their own in a democratic union with its people that include not only Jews, but a significant number of Arabs, Druze, Bedouin, Christians, Kurds, B'hai and others with full citizenship rights. In choosing to abandon the human rights of this civilization by viewing those who continually threaten its existence by mass violence with equal consideration, these world leaders betray their own commitment to human rights, the rule of law and international civil and social mores to an underlying suspicion, if not enmity toward Jews and the Jewish state.

Continuing to support a Muslim fundamentalist aspiring state that rejects the presence of a different ethnic and social, cultural and religious group legitimately existing on its ancestral land hoping for peace with all its neighbours, and succeeding with a growing number, the Western leaders who decry Israel's reaction to mass slaughter of its citizens as 'disproportionate' and make use of language totally out of context with the reality of a forced invasion, betray both a lack of conscience and a subliminal distrust and dislike of the very qualities that the Palestinians reject and plot murder against.

Their attitudes, statements and  deliberate isolation of Israel, their voting patterns in the United Nations General Assembly, and their tolerance for the demeaning of a nation and its people is shocking yet predictable, as a reflection of the world's most ancient pathology. That very attitude is transmitted to their own general publics which sense the censure and adapt it as their own. That the West has been suffused in the past several decades with waves of immigrants, refugees and migrants from the Middle East and North Africa leading to a surge of Muslims living in the West, bringing with them their own traditions of Jew-hate, compounds the issue of growing global antisemitism.

"Postponing these elections would undermine precisely those Palestinians who are working to build a credible, peaceful political alternative."
"For the sake of our children, I ask Canada to stand firm. They deserve accountable leadership, a voice in their future, and a reason to believe that peaceful political change is possible."

Canada's Liberal Government Transformed Canada In Its Image

"Canada and UNRWA share concerns about the threat of terrorism, including within the context of the United Nations' firm commitment to counter terrorism."
"[UNRWA is] taking all possible measures [to ensure Canadian government charitable/humanitarian funding  would not be used to] provide assistance to or otherwise support, terrorists or terrorist organizations."
"Canada's humanitarian assistance funding is largely flexible and un-earmarked."
Global Affairs Canada

Of all the millions Ottawa has earmarked for Palestinians, it’s the outlays for UNRWA – the United Nations Relief and Works Agency – that have received the most scrutiny. Photo by Mohammad Nazal/Middle East Images/AFP via Getty Images

When Stephen Harper was the Conservative Prime Minister of Canada, he was coherent and principled and well-informed. So much so that he quite reasonably understood where funding for the Palestinian 'cause' of aiding the 'victims' of Israel's statehood, that left Arab Palestinians' aspiration to have all land they claimed as their own -- Judean ancestral land -- that the United Nations in its wisdom in 1947 split between Jews and Arabs, to be gifted only to the Arab demographic that termed themselves 'Palestinian' despite that designation dating back to the Roman Empire which renamed Judea to spite unruly Jews.

The Conservative government took the step of cutting off all Canadian aid to UNRWA, knowing it for what it really is; a United Nations-mandated entity to support the world's only permanent 'refugee' population, one so fully in accord with Palestinian resentment of the presence of the Jewish state that it never stopped plotting to destroy it. UNRWA schools employed Palestinian terrorists to operate them, using the school textbooks characterizing Jews as deadly enemies.

The curricula taught Palestinian children to abhor Israel, encouraging children to dream of becoming honoured martyrs in the cause of 'opposing' the Israeli 'occupation', whose purpose it was to defend Jews against lethal violence children were taught to regard as their highest calling, for which they would ascend to Paradise. Palestinian children's school plays had them enacting fatal encounters with Jews. 'Summer camps' set up for Palestinian children taught them the vital elements of guerrilla warfare.

And the United Nations Relief and Works Agency worked right alongside Fatah and Hamas in patterning Palestinian children to desire death in the carrying out of the sacred task of murdering Jews for the crime of being Jews and inhabiting their heritage territory. The honoured calling of terrorism against one's mortal enemy who refused to surrender to Palestinian Arab demands of sole ownership of the territory.

None of this is unknown, but it goes unrecognized as dreadfully inconvenient to acknowledge and act upon in the West, which has chosen the sanctimonious route of paying homage to terror by empathizing with the 'underdog' that engages in the kind of acceptable propaganda portraying themselves as the world's eternal victims, oppressed by the world's most persecuted minority which clings to its sliver of land as a political, moral, military bulwark against the ethnic/religious/cultural detestation of ancient derivation that will not die.

The Liberal government of Canada has no intention of opening the cover of a book whose frontal illustration is that of starving children in Gaza and the West Bank; governed by Palestinian leaders who have received billions of charitable funds from the United Nations, Europe, North America and elsewhere to relieve the conditions of enduring poverty, but which end up in private bank accounts, and in financial support for the 'martyrs' who engage in deadly attacks against Jews and Israel. The pages within document a history too complex to digest, and so why bother?

Image
Horrifying images show victims of Hamas attack at rave, where Israeli cops acted as human shields and hostages had legs blown off, survivors say trib.al/ctXLbrp

When the October 7 Palestinian terrorists sprinted by their thousands from Gaza into southern Israel, the  government of Canada was sending  hundreds of millions of dollars in support of the poor, needy Palestinians, through UNRWA. That same UN agency from among whose staff Hamas operatives were raiding Israeli homes, raping girls and women, setting homes on fire with their residents within, slaughtering the inhabitants of farming communities and young Israelis enjoying social relaxation at  the Nova Music Festival nearby.

Eventually, when enough proof was provided of the participation in October 7 of an astonishing number of Hamas operatives who also were employed by UNRWA, the UN body fired many of them while claiming that "the dismissal of the staff is not part of a disciplinary process and does not constitute in any way a validation of the claims made against them".

And although Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas claimed to have put a stop to the Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund that guaranteed lavish financial support for anyone imprisoned or martyred while committing an act of 'resistance', the U.S.-based Modern War Institute analysis quoted the PA's "Amended Palestinian Prisoners Law No. 19" which identifies a pension account for any Palestinian deemed to have taken part "in the struggle against the occupation". And 'Pay for Slay' carries on.
"We understand that a recent payment has been made to the families of prisoners, based on a previous scheme."
"We profoundly regret this decision, as this seems to go against prior announcements."
EU Commission November 2025 public statement
https://ngo-monitor.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/691f6a8643f8fc053ed42a8d215ac190-0-1086x1536.jpeg
In all a total of $600 million has been transferred by Canada to Gaza. The millions that Ottawa earmarked for Palestinians have seen UNRWA receiving scrutiny. Nonetheless despite clear evidence of complicity between the agency and Hamas as well as with other Palestinian terrorist groups, and UNRWA's responsibility in corrupting young Palestinian minds, Canada continues to fund them. The latest $100 million gesture of trust a mere several weeks past, $20 million of which was for "peace and stabilization initiatives" that includes training and equipping a Palestinian military component.

Canada's Prime Minister Carney is so  convinced of the worthiness of Palestinian claims to statehood despite its ongoing refusal to recognize Israeli right of existence and sovereignty, that on behalf of Canada, he 'recognized' Palestinian statehood with the proviso that greater evidence of dedication to democracy be attained and demonstrated. The upshot is that Canada, along with Spain, Ireland, the U.K. and France have 'recognized' Palestinian statehood. The qualifiers have not and will never become reality.

As for the 'two-state solution' they espouse as a 'solution' to the 'unrest', it has been rejected time and again by the Palestinians, who finally put it to rest on October 7.
"Canada is deeply alarmed by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the terrible situation for the civilian population, exacerbated by severely restricted access for humanitarian partners seeking to provide assistance. Canada continues to call for a UN-led humanitarian response with safe and unimpeded access into and within Gaza. The ceasefire is a welcome development and Canada urges the parties to fully adhere to it."
"The ongoing conflict has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths. Heightened tensions in the region could pose further security risks."
"The security and economic situation in the West Bank is also of concern. Frequent Israeli military operations throughout the West Bank, as well as rising extremist settler violence against Palestinians, have led to thousands of casualties and resulted in clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinians."
"Canada’s approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is guided by its historic and unwavering commitment to a two-state solution, with Israelis and Palestinians living side-by-side in peace and security. Prospects for a two-state solution have been steadily eroding, as a result of the pervasive threat of Hamas’ terrorism, continued Israeli settlement expansion and extremist settler violence in the West Bank, and the Israeli government’s ongoing military operation in Gaza, and failure to alleviate the resulting humanitarian crisis."

Rewarding Terrorism, Complicit in Support of Terrorism/France, U.K., Canada

"This is a reckless policy that undermines prospects for peace."
"It sets the dangerous precedent that violence, not diplomacy, is the most expedient means for terrorist groups like Hamas to achieve their political aims."
"[Recognition is] especially troubling [considering the Hamas terrorist attacks of October 7, 2023, when citizens of the U.K., France and Canada were among those killed that day]."
"Hamas's war crimes are clear, and its rejection of diplomacy should lead your countries to impose more pressure. Instead, you offer greater rewards."
Open letter to France, U.K., Canada by U.S. Republican Congressmen and Senators

"[Carney's recognition of a Palestinian state] vindicated [hostage-taking,  handing victory to the] violent mobs who block streets, vandalize businesses, target synagogues, and even shoot up schools [in Canada, post-7 October]."

"This action is an important step in establishing the right of the Palestinian people to their land and sanctities and on the path to establishing an independent state with Holy Quds as its capital, which is the result of years of struggle, perseverance, and sacrifice of our people on the path of freedom and return."
Hamas congratulatory response to Canada/U.K./France announcement
"We are proud to sacrifice [our] martyrs. We are prepared to stage events similar to October 7, 2023, again and again until Israel ceases to exist", stated Hamas spokesman Ghazi Hamad. This most recent congratulatory message by Hamas to Canada in response to Palestine-supportive statements from Canada's Liberal government is the third of its kind. Canadian branches of the Palestinian Youth Movement and Toronto4Palestine student group openly celebrated the attacks of October 7, organizing demonstrators to call for supplanting the "Zionist entity" with a Palestinian state.

Hamas has run the Gaza Strip since 2007   Getty Images

A sour note was hit by Toronto4Palestine, taking a break from applauding the Liberal Party's most recent turnabout from an ally and supporter of the state of Israel, to condemning it for its military response to the terrorist sweep through southern Israel when sadistic savagery was on full display with the rape and dismemberment of Israeli girls and women, and the massive death toll of Israeli children, women, men and foreign farm workers. Prime Minister Carney was condemned by Toronto4Palestine for calling for Hamas to "play no role in t he future governance of Palestine". Even while he was praised for recognition a Palestinian state without preconditions.

The stated conditions for recognition of the nascent Palestinian state, in Toronto4Palestine's opinion, "undermine Palestinian self determination", failing to "acknowledge the reality in Palestine". Of course, in actual fact, Hamas itself has long had a place on Canada's terrorist list. Flying the Hamas flag, celebrating its 'courage' in confronting the Zionist Entity by murdering civilians, rapine and pillage, under Canadian law merit arrest, but no such thing happened, while the pro-Hamas contingent in Canadian society rampaged through Canadian streets chanting to universalize the Intifada.

Canada's State Immunity Act emphasizes that a state must not wage aggressive war, must not commit atrocities and must not support terrorism to be recognized as a state. The status of state recognition has its rights, but carries responsibilities as well. States that finance, facilitate or take part in terrorism for the benefit of designated terror groups can be stripped of immunity and held to account in Canadian courts. The West Bank government of the Palestinian Authority which Canada proposes to govern a newly declared Palestinian state has and does in fact, finance, facilitate and take part in terrorism.

https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/2023-11-07T132602Z_367386457_RC2984A5OYLK_RTRMADP_3_ISRAEL-PALESTINIANS-BRAZIL-scaled.jpg

Promoting the Palestinian Authority as the future governing agent of the West Bank and Gaza elevates a  terrorist financing, promoting group. And if France, the U.K. and Canada promote this accession of Fatah, itself on terror lists (while forming the backbone of the Palestinian Authority) does that not make these three Western democratic countries complicit in terrorism themselves? At the very least, willing to look past these inconveniences to shore up their arguments that Israel's determination to rout out the terrorist Hamas which uses Palestinian civilians as shields, to hold Israel accountable for deaths that Hamas causes.

For years the Palestinian Authority has paid convicted terrorists and the families of those carrying out attacks, bonus awards for 'confronting the occupation'. The 'Occupation', needless to say, is Israel's defense against constant, ongoing Palestinian attacks against the Jewish state and its people. Rewarding terrorism incites more terrorist acts; a double game perfected by Palestinian politicians. And it is not only Hamas, but the Palestine Liberation Front, The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Fatah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other terror groups beloved of the Palestinians all committed to Israel's annihilation.

Easily overlooked by Israel's allies now turned detractors and Palestinian human rights defenders, who deny Israel's human rights. Fatah founded the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, another listed terrorist entity in Canada that excelled in suicide bombings, civilian shootings, kidnappings and October 7. Fatah is the terrorist arm of the Palestinian Authority, headed by Mahmoud Abbas. Whose popularity in the West Bank is low, while Hamas gains majority plaudits in the West Bank, greater than its support by Gaza residents.

Death of the Two-State Solution

"The framework for recognizing Palestine that Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney set forth on Wednesday attempts to bring us closer to that goal [of two democratic states for two peoples, living in mutual recognition of one another], but suffers from several fatal defects -- with respect to the conditions it includes, the conditions it fails to include and, most importantly the fact that it gets the paradigm backwards, granting recognition before the necessary conditions are met, rather than after."
"If Canada moves forward with this framework, it will almost certainly be complicit -- however inadvertently -- in the creation of another authoritarian terrorist state in the Middle East, rather than a peaceful democratic one, thereby decreasing, rather than increasing, the possibility of securing a lasting peace in the region."
Irwin Cotler, international chair, Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights
Noah Lew, director of the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights
https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTyl7AXoD0hO0XLohG0j5Uam1JGsEWS0Z7DtVu48JnOYMmSpbyXWRitjOz9RwpG_ZvoqKJ2JyGff9c2JFcyYtoMJFo0uuu7NxFtSbNpbRFwQQ

Originally, when the United Nations offered up their Partition Plan in 1947 the intention was that two democratic countries would result, for two different groups of people living contiguously in peace, security and mutual recognition of the legitimacy of each other. Israel accepted the UN offer and from 1948 onward has represented the only true democracy in the Middle East, amidst an array of kingdoms, sheikdoms, dictatorships and theocracies.

As a Jewish state, albeit an inclusive one, giving citizenship and equality to other ethnic/religious group living amongst the majority Jewish population, Israel has been forced by the hostility of its neighbours to maintain a military presence with the intention of forestalling frequent attempts to destroy its presence on its ancestral Judean landmass, now shared by edict of the United Nations with religious/ethnic factions adamant that it has no place amidst majority Islamic states.

Assembled armies of the Middle East attempted time and again to extirpate Israel from its heritage land, to no avail. And while at the present time, some of those originally belligerent states now have forged cordial relations -- or at the very least, tolerate Israel's presence -- the Arab contingent naming themselves Palestinians, taking on the mantle of original dwellers on the land, which they are not, has remained violently hostile, losing no opportunity to lethally attack Israeli citizens.

The Palestinians embarked on a decades' long propaganda of victimhood and slander, convincing an empathetic Western audience that Israel was an illegal intruder into the Middle East, oppressing the Palestinians and taking land meant for them. Their unrestrained and violent antipathy toward Israel, the school curricula teaching Palestinian children to hate Jews and to aspire to martyrdom by killing Jews, the program of the ruling authorities to pay financial rewards to killers of Jews and violence-prone imprisoned Palestinians has ensured that no accord between the two solitudes could ever result in two states, side-by-side.

 https://www.gov.il/BlobFolder/generalpage/wave-of-terror-october-2015/en/English_Terrorism_terror-4monthsJUN-2025.jpg

Israel has attempted to negotiate peace agreements that would lead to the establishment of an internationally legal and recognized Palestinian state was refused time and again by Palestinian leaders who adamantly refused to recognize the legitimacy of the Jewish state. But although the Palestinians' refusal to compromise to make it possible for the two-state solution to arise, nations that are considered allies of Israel, continue to insist that the 'two-state-solution' must be accomplished in justice to Palestinian aspirations, while setting aside the intransigence of the Palestinian insistence on Israel's destruction.

The Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, represented by the Fatah faction of Palestinian denial of an Israeli presence interacts through their leader and the president of the PA, Mahmoud Abbas, as a 'moderate' whose agenda remains that of challenging Israel's legitimacy as a Jewish State. The leadership of the Hamas contingent, a recognized terrorist group, is proudly overt about their intention to destroy Israel by any means possible. Time and again Israeli governments over the years have attempted to reason with both Hamas and Fatah to accept a peace accord and recognize Israel's right of existence.

The response has always been an Intifada, and the ongoing resolve to counter Israel's presence with unmitigated violent savagery. Yet France, Britain and Canada, among other nations of the world, insist that the Palestinians must have their recognized sovereign state bordering that of Israel's. While covertly the Palestinians in whose name the West and other geographic nations support statehood recognition, plot to attack Israel and its citizens endlessly.

None of the states that see it as imperative that the Palestinians have their state, are faced with the dilemma themselves of a neighbour dedicated to destroying their presence, yet they support the Palestinian entitlement to secure what they adamantly refused in 1947, and have ever since, when it would mean living in peace alongside Israel. Confoundingly enough, Muslim Arab states themselves have little real empathy at this point in the endless terror attacks against Israel for the Palestinian position. For while the West opens its welcoming arms to the presence of Palestinians, the states in the Middle East evade their presence.

Emigration, migration, and refugee status has seen a wide influx of Palestinians in democratic nations of the West. And there they continue their fulminations against Israel, spreading their viperous draughts of slanderous venom, reawakening historical levels of international antisemitism to fever pitch, in the process convincing those who now support their cause that Israel is the oppressor, the Palestinians are pitiable victims, in a reversal of reality, but one that resonates with the uninformed, the oblivious and the Jew-haters.

Le Figaro has published allegations difficult to verify that three Hamas elite operatives were the sole individuals that held the intelligence of date and time of the October 7 massacre in southern Israel of 1,200 people; purportedly the plan was shared with allies only about a half-hour before the beginning of the invasion. The plan was solely that of Yahyah Sinwar, a hard-bitten foe of Israel who would never countenance any agreement recognizing Israel that speculation had it was being considered by his superiors in rank.

Saleh alArouri, overseeing Hamas activities in Judea and Samaria (West Bank) was informed of the impending invasion a mere half-hour ahead to enable him to alert Hassan Nasrallah the head of Hezbollah. Another top Hamas representative to Lebanon, Osama Hamdan -- he of the oath that Hamas was fully prepared to launch any number of additional October 7 events in its dedication to the destruction of Israel -- discovered from media reports that the assault had taken place, according to Le Figaro.

Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal is quoted in the Le Figaro report as saying: "Only three people knew the exact date, time and details of the plan." The Islamic Republic of Iran, Hamas's sponsor along with Hezbollah, reportedly were taken by surprise on learning of the attack. Tehran characterized the attack as a response to the 2020 targeted killing in Baghdad of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani by the United States.

"The Al-Aqsa Flood (name given to the Oct 7 attack) was one of the acts of revenge for the assassination of General Soleimani by the US. and the Zionists", announced Brig.Gen. Ramezan Sharif, IRGC spokesman. Hamas, however, disagreed, insisting that their operation was in response to Israeli 'crimes' at the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Mashaal, in an interview published in Le Figaro offered a conciliatory gesture to Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah.

The Islamist group, he informed the newspaper, is prepared to consider a joint P.A.-Hamas-led governing body for the Gaza Strip, and Judea and Samaria. "Rebuilding the Palestinian political scene without Hamas is a move destined for failure, but we are ready for reorganization within the framework of the PLO as part of a national consensus", Mashaal informed the French news outlet. Needless to say there have been attempts in the past to mend the hostile distance between Fatah and Hamas

Sectarian and tribal memories are long and unforgiving. Secular Fatah and Islamist Hamas agree on one thing only; their hatred for Israel and for Jews, not their methodology. Hamas's campaign is up front and readily identified, while Fatah's is more discreet, hiding behind a facade of quasi-democracy where the West is lulled into the fantasy that the PA is longing for a state of its own to live in peace beside Israel. Whereas the truth is neither envision a future for Israel and both plan for a single, 'Palestinian' state.

When Israel left Gaza unilaterally in 2005 at a time when the Strip was in the control of Fatah and mass disorder, chaotic crime broke out at Israel's withdrawal, Hamas moved in, to establish control and in the process wrench the coastal strip from Fatah. In the process of which Hamas operatives in a conflict with Fatah proved victorious in its gruesome slaughter of its competitor terrorist group. Memories are not all that short in a region known to nurse grievances for generations.

"Sooner or later, the United States will argue that Hamas is a reality and enjoys legitimacy among the people. We must learn from history. The Americans accepted the Taliban. (PLO founder) Yasser Arafat even won the Nobel Peace Prize" (sharing it with Israeli politicians Shimon Perez and Yitzhak Rabin for 'achieving peace in the Middle East; only two of the trio sincere, the third a risible sham). Like everything else that comes out of the mouths of Palestinians this too is delusional.

And everything plays out while Israeli ground, aerial and naval forces continue their operations across the Gaza Strip in an all-out determination to fully emasculate Hamas as a terrorist threat to Israel -- and Fatah can be accommodated as well as Hezbollah in a fully frontal campaign to rid the area of its death-cult fanatics.

Of course, there is a remaining question: if a mere three individuals only were in possession of the imminent assault against Israel, how is it that Egyptian sources had advance knowledge of a huge attack that was imminent, intelligence which it gamely attempted to pass on as a warning to their neighbour, busy confronting what might have been a ruse coming from that other quarter in Judea and Samaria?

The Fiction of Palestinians for Peace

"Shame on you ... your president and the rest of the Palestinian leadership regularly incite terrorism, never condemn the murders of Israeli civilians, praise Palestinian terrorists and actively attempt to rewrite facts and the truth by erasing Jewish history."
Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan

"Some treacherous Arab rulers have chosen to normalize relations with the child-killing regime, but the Muslim people of the region have never forgotten Palestine."
Tehran Times editorial

"A seismic shift is taking place in the Middle East. A year ago, the Abraham Accords offered the promise of peace, which has been elusive for Israel's nearly 75-year history."
"However, due to a confluence of factors mainly energized by Palestinian radicalism and the West's unwitting support of it, the region has turned into a tinder box that could explode into absolute chaos."
Avi Abraham Benlolo, founder, chair, Abraham Global Peace Initiative

Israel's United Nations Ambassador Gilad Erdan slammed the United Nations over its Commission of Inquiry into Israel, Thursday, for its one-sided report against the Jewish state. (Israeli Mission to the United Nations.)

The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR) found through a survey that 71 percent of Palestinians are in support of the recent murder of two Israeli brothers who happened to be driving through the West Bank town of Huwara when mobs of Palestinians attacked them. These are people who from childhood to adulthood have been exposed to hate propaganda courtesy of the Palestinian Authority -- from elementary school curricula to high school and beyond, through television and news outlets, videos and plays Palestinians are taught the virtues of martyrdom and 'resistance' to an 'occupation' necessitated by the very violence imposed upon the Israeli public by Palestinians.

At the Security Council's monthly meeting at the United Nations this week, Gilad Erdan, Israel's UN ambassador, directly addressed the Palestinian representative, highlighting the many ways that the Palestinian Authority is complicit in inciting Palestinians to riot and to wreak havoc while periodically violently attacking Israelis, wounding or murdering them. How the propaganda arm of the PA and Hamas have conducted a slander war against Israel. And how both have continually denied the existence of Jews in the Middle East from time immemorial as a fallacy.

Random attacks on Jews by Palestinians, by Palestinian youth, boys and girls are common. They are fulfilling their adopted obligation to maim and murder in line with instructions given them throughout their formative years. This has become a society that takes pride in violence and committing murder. The most common manifestation of the satisfaction felt at news of another Jew being killed, even children, is the general celebratory air, the shooting off of fireworks, the distribution of sweets in a holiday mood. Infamously, those assaulting Jews and their families can anticipate being paid well for their efforts by the PA.

A mere 27 percent of Palestinians, according to PCPSR, support a two-state solution for peace. Pro-Palestinian groups throughout the West regularly carry placards on city streets, at protests, during rallies, with megaphones sounding "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free". A call to cleanse Jews from Israel's geography, and to replace the Jewish state with a single Palestinian state. It is a plan that is validated when aid agencies like the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, a refugee-sponsoring arm of the UN mandated solely for the Palestinians to maintain them indefinitely as 'refugees'.

The 'refugee' camps in Gaza, the West Bank, in Beirut, Amman and Damascus exist to maintain the fiction of Palestinians as refugees alive, a festering sore yielding human rights concerns that are blinkered to the terrorist ambitions of the leaders that are satisfied to keep them in that condition. For as refugees they are victims, and victims must have an identifiable group that is responsible for their victimhood/refugee status. Who better than Jews who returned to their ancestral home when the world turned against their diaspora in an exercise of mass extermination?

The survey found that 68 percent of Palestinians find favour in forming armed groups of terrorists dedicated to the destruction of Israel. New independent terrorist organizations form themselves time and again, to infiltrate Israel and demonstrate how effective they are at nation-destruction, rather than nation=building. These are people for whom there is no governmental inclination to producing social, civil infrastructure, employment and civil/social services for a people unified in their wish to live decent, normal lives.

The international community -- from the United Nations, to the European Union, the United States, Canada, all contribute to their status as refugees. NGOs dedicated themselves to the welfare of the Palestinians because their leaders have abandoned them to the higher order of agitating to violence. Where there is room and opportunity for two nations to live side-by-side as neighbours, trading with one another, Palestinian leaders have chosen the path of death and destruction -- both of their own and of Israelis.

Polling sees 58 percent of Palestinians calling for renewed violence, and this is what the international community is funding by their compassionate generosity for 'refugees'. A two-state solution in the opinion of 73 percent of Palestinians is neither viable nor feasible. Palestinians view the emergence of another intifada as inevitable. These are the people whose president, Mahmoud Abbas, assures the international community that the PA is striving toward peace with Israel, while to the Palestinians directly he urges jihad against Israel.

Victimized Palestinian Refugees

"[The spike in terrorism  happens] in part because of, over $6 billion in U.S., Canada, and European Union aid given to the Palestinian Authority [PA] and the United Nations Relief Works Agency [UNRWA] since 2008."
"The PA invests a substantial share of its budget, and hence of this foreign aid, on inciting terrorism, on glorifying terrorism and on financially rewarding terrorism."
Henry Kopel, (retired) U.S. Federal Prosecutor

"[We believe that] the unfortunate but glaring reality here is this: Decades of negotiations, agreements, promises, warnings, moral appeals, and temporary aid suspensions all have done nothing to reduce or prevent the Palestinian Authority's relentless commitment to inciting, glorifying, and financially rewarding acts of terrorism committed against innocent Israelis."

Spontaneous, erratic, random terrorist attacks can take place anywhere, at any time in Israel, incited by a Palesltinian leadership commitment to convincing Palestinians that they are victims of Israeli aggression. It is a message that has a much wider audience as well, through a clever institutionalized program of 'public relations' propaganda painting Israel and Jews who support Israel, as illegal 'occupiers' of their own Biblical-era ancestral geography in the Middle East.

The hugely aggressive and highly successful strategy used by the Palestinian Authority in what is called the West Bank (of the Jordan River) and their sectarian counterparts, Hamas in Gaza, a Western-acknowledged terrorist group has had little difficulty initiating a Western-popularized sanctions regimen popularly called the BDS Movement, Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions isolationist move against Israel.

Unions and Academic institutions in particular have taken to the BDS program with great enthusiasm, all too willing to endorse the slander that Israel is actively engaged in blocking a peace agreement that would lead the way to a formally internationally recognized Palestinian state. The PA and its cohorts smear Israel with refusing to negotiate in good faith for a peace agreement, while in reality at the negotiating table Israel has time and again offered all the conditions demanded by the PA only to have them back away.

Israel has been forced by Palestinian Authority intransigence over negotiations and the PA's institutionalized teaching of young Palestinians from grade school forward through school curricula, social media, television and news networks that Jews are their enemies and there is no finer future for an aspiring Palestinian hero than to conspire to murder Jews. Through such achievements as delivering death to Jews, the perpetrators receive celebrity status, their families are given generous financial pensions..

These acts of terrorism are excused by Western allies of both the PA and Israel as inevitable, a people victimized and frustrated, fighting for their human rights. The murder of Jewish Israelis, from young children to adults to elders to soldiers and police fail to impact the conscience of the world community which has grown comfortable viewing Jews and Israelis as having the upper hand, convincing them that their sympathy is rightfully placed with the Palestinian 'victims' of Israeli 'apartheid'.

Should Jews venture by misadventure into a West Bank village or city (cities called 'refugee camps'), their lives are immediately endangered. No Jews may live among Arabs in the West Bank, whereas several million Arabs live in Israel as citizens with equal rights to Jews. Palestinian Arabs sit in the Israeli Knesset (parliament), are appointed judges, their youth attend Israeli universities, medical practitioners practise out of Israeli hospitals.

In the Jewish apartheid state, Druze, Bedouin, Arabs, Christian, Baha'i and a host of other non-Jews have citizenship with all the rights associated with that status. Most non-Jewish Israeli citizens, including Palestinians have no wish to live under PA rule, preferring to remain in Israel which speaks volumes about the assurances of justice and security guaranteed to all. Still, among those living in the West Bank, in Gaza and in Israel itself, Palestinians are readily convinced by their leaders that their finest calling is as a martyr in the 'struggle' against the 'oppressor'.

While the Palestinian Authority continues to reward terrorism; Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has said outright that nothing could induce him or the PA to stop what is called 'pay-for-slay', which says all that is needed to fully understand how much of a 'partner-for-peace' Israel has in the current Palestinian administration -- and it has never been any different under any previous leader. In effect, every Western power that sanctimoniously helps fund the PA in the assumption they are helping the Palestinians is complicit in their terrorist actions and the death of Jews.

This is no secret. The evidence is blatantly available, even boasted of. Media in the West play deliberately into the hands of the PA media machine. Headlines never fail to emphasize the latest news from the canted perspective of the 'Palestinian cause'. When Israel Defence Forces defensively cause the death of an armed terrorist who has just killed Israelis, news headlines blare: the IDF kills a Palestinian overlooking the cause and effect.

The world -- certainly not the United Nations, and much less so, the UNRWA arm of the UN specific to the Palestinian 'situation' has no interest in removing the identification of 'refugees' from a people who left the territory in favour of returning once assembled Arab armies destroyed the nascent Israeli state after refusing the UN Partition plan for side-by-side states, Israeli and Palestinian. Remaining refugees consolidates their victimhood status.

There is no expectation that the Palestinians will be civilized, will develop the core infrastructure of a responsible state, will be capable and amenable of administering itself in a manner expected of a sovereign state with full employment for its population and a standard of living that would not include international handouts in pity of a marginalized population.

The time has long passed for Palestinians to be proud of themselves as responsible, independent people. It's never too late but that time won't come as long as they're being coddled with no expectations of civilized behaviour, encouraging their victimhood.

UNRWA's Palestinian Refugee Permanence, 'Pay-for-Slay'

"Once again we have witnessed the nauseating spectacle of western governments -- which sanitize, fund and pump up the genocidal Palestinian Arab cause -- expressing shock and sympathy with Israel over these attacks [while continuing] to fund the Palestinian Authority despite the PA's 'pay-to-slay[' policy of rewarding the families of terrorists for every Israeli Jew they murder, and despite its never ending incitement to murder Jews and steal Israel's land."
Melanie Phillips, British journalist

"It's time to admit that Palestinian institutions are broken, and that they have developmentally harmed generations of Palestinian men and women, boys and girls, by whipping them into a constant froth with violently antisemitic educational and media content that celebrate 'martyrdom' attacks against Israelis."
"The Palestinian Authority provides a financial incentive for terrorism by providing pensions to the families of those who attack Israelis."
Palestinian political analyst Bassem Eid
"We will neither reduce nor prevent [payment] of allowances to the families of martyrs, prisoners and released prisoners, as some seek, and if we had only a single penny left, we would pay it to families of the martyrs and prisoners."
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas

This is the man who presents himself on the world stage as the aggrieved partner-for-peace while denouncing Israel as a cruel occupier of Arab land that just happens to be located on ancestral Judean geography. But then such bothersomely inconsequential details are an irritant that Mahmoud Abbas is accustomed to dealing with. As he iterates and reiterates the misconceptions of history, personally giving his assurance that this land always belonged to Arabs who were, he avers, the original Palestinians

Even the Roman Empire got it wrong, and out of the goodness of his heart, Abbas stands prepared to correct their misimpression and he has already started, publishing maps identifying no Judean land, only a large swath labelled 'Palestine" as he lobbies the United Nations member bodies to proceed with giving its imprimatur to a unilateral announcement of the State of Palestine becoming an honoured member of the General Assembly. Or who knows...the permanent Security Council for its expertise in war and peace.

As for paying the martyrs and the prisoners and ex-prisoners of justifiable and honourable 'resistance' to the occupation that annoyingly keeps resisting the violence streaming at it from the West Bank and Gaza Strip, nothing, ever, will deter their handsome emoluments for a job well done. Recently the human rights group Palestinian Media Watch revealed that recently-released prisoners Karim and Maher Younig each collected close to $100,000 for their murder of Avraham Bromberg, a corporal in the Israel Defence Forces.

Where does an incipient 'nation' given refugee status in perpetuity by the United Nations' UNRWA get the funding to award such munificent sums to its terrorists from? An Arab-administered area so penurious that the international community through the United Nations, United States, European Union and other Western countries feel obligated to fund its civil infrastructure to enable the Palestinian Authority (Fatah/PLO) and Hamas in the West Bank and Gaza to operate?

It has long been documented that the PA schedules rewards for the terrorists it incites into the martyrdom death cult, from childhood onward through school curricula to social media programs to identify Jews as their enemy, to teach the vulnerable young of their duty as Palestinians to 'resist' the 'occupation' of apartheid Israel -- with its two million Palestinian citizens, along with Christian, Druze, Baha'i, Bedouin citizens --  creating in them a passion for martyrdom.

The PA has a per capita GDP of about $3,500, and an unemployment rate of 25 percent. Many Palestinians find employment and a working wage through jobs offered them in Israel where they can earn more than working in the West Bank or Gaza, if they can find jobs there.  Without outside funding for civic services, for hospitals, schools and social programs, there would never be finances available to pay for the PA's well-institutionalized 'pay-for-slay'.

That funding arrives through the generosity of the United States, its largest funder which provides hundreds of millions to the PA and Hamas through UNRWA. Canada too is a large contributor to the extended programs that effectively pay salaries to terrorists or to their families should they die in the line of duty to kill Israeli Jews. The countries that gasp in horror at the atrocities committed in Jerusalem against Jews are those very countries that fund the actions of the murderers.

In the very week, scant days afterward, of the slaughter of 7 Jews after Friday prayer at a synagogue  and the wounding of many others, the U.S. Secretary of State on a Middle East visit to Israel and the West Bank handed an additional $50 million over to the PA, over and above the $300 million recently given UNRWA. Funding that was revoked by Canada's former Prime Minister Stephen Harper and by former U.S. President Donald Trump in acknowledgment of UNRWA's role in transferring funds used to fund murder.

Funding that was speedily restored by their successors, U.S. President Joe Biden, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Both of whom give no thought whatever to what it is they are actually funding.

Guilty, Never Innocent, No Evidence Required

"As part of the activity in the Jenin refugee camp, suspects fired heavily at the force and threw explosives. The force responded by firing. Hits were detected."
"The possibility that journalists were hit, possibly by Palestinian gunfire, is being investigated. The event is being examined."
IDF statement

"Palestinians fired extensively at our forces, firing wildly and indiscriminately in every direction. Unlike the Palestinians, IDF soldiers carry out professional and selective firing ... at this stage it is not possible to determine from which shot she was hit."
"[A special team would be investigating the incident]."
IDF Chief of Staff, Major General Aviv Kochavi

“Our initial findings from our investigation cannot determine which gunfire hit Shireen and I cannot exclude anything because of the chaos on the ground."
"I hope to get full cooperation from the Palestinians because without the pathological findings and the forensic findings it will be very hard to understand what happened."
"I have 40 years of experience and I know that it takes time to figure out exactly what happened, and we are trying to figure out exactly what happened. It can be that the Palestinians shot her, tragically it can be on our side and we are investigating it."
"[Israel is] committed to finding out the truth."
Israeli Minister of Defence Benny Gantz

"They cannot hide the truth with this crime."
"They are the ones who committed the crime, and because we do not trust them, we will immediately go to the International Criminal Court."
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas
In the past month an acceleration of  attacks by Palestinians took place in Israel against Jewish citizens, killing eighteen people in total, by knife, gun and car rammings. A number of attackers came from the West Bank village of Jenin, a frequent source of such attackers and Israeli security revealed that additional attacks were being planned from that source. The decision was made by the IDF to conduct a raid in Jenin to arrest that possibility.

During that raid there ensued a gun battle with armed Palestinian militants. An Al Jazeera news-gathering crew was on site and among them a veteran reporter for the Qatar-based news group, a familiar face to Palestinians as a defender of their victimhood rights against the 'occupation'. The West Bank, formerly ancestral Judaean heritage land, now a Palestinian-state-in-waiting is governed by the Palestinian Authority, the Gaza Strip, more Judaean heritage land, by Hamas.

Fatah (Palestinian Authority) and Hamas share a goal; the destruction of Israel. Each government-in-waiting incites its Palestinian citizens to violence against Israel, rewarding those who commit violence against Israel and its Jewish citizens. Hamas makes no pretense of ever recognizing the legitimacy of the Jewish state, opting instead to its destruction, while Fatah speaks peace in English and war in Arabic.

Both employ the victimhood card of Palestinian defencelessness against purported Israeli human rights offences and brutality against Palestinians, declaring Israel an apartheid state. In that 'apartheid state' live several million Palestinian Arabs with full citizenship, representation in the Knesset, the freedom of Palestinians to practise as physicians, lawyers, justices, diplomats in Israel. No Jews are permitted to live in land governed by the PA and Hamas.

The countless human rights infractions that Israeli Jews suffer include the refusal by Jordan's Islamic Waqf to permit Jews to worship at the site of the Temple Mount, a site sacred to Judaism, the location of the two iterations of the Temple of Solomon, destroyed the second time by Rome, over which ruins sit Muslim sites, given primacy over the original Judaic structures. Violence takes place on those occasions when Jews venture on the Temple Mount, by rioting Palestinians.

The Palestinians refused in 1948 to accept the Partition Plan proffered by the United Nations that would give Jews their state, Palestinians one of their own. They preferred to sit back until the combined Arab armies destroyed the nascent Jewish state when they would return and claim the entire territory. Successive offers for peace and side-by-side states on Israel's part have all been refused by the Palestinian leaders over the years.

And over those years the Palestinians who took the name Palestinians and Palestine from the indigenous Jews, as well as their most religiously sacred sites as their own, took pains to slander Jews and Israel in every international forum they could find sympathizers within, from the United Nations to the European Union. The UN has effectively granted them the status of refugees-for-life with each successive generation joining the refugee file.

The demonization of Israel has been so complete and so completely successful over the years that every and any time the Palestinians and their supporters accuse Israel of criminal human rights abuses against the Palestinians, there is no evidence required, all is accepted as truth by a credulous public for whom antisemitism is a normal expression of society.

This general acceptance in the wider world community as reflected in international media, all assuming that the Palestinian version of a Palestinian reporter's death in the melee of a gunfight between IDF troops and Palestinian gunmen (eg terrorists) is simply yet another manifestation of the glowering hatefest against Jews promoted by Palestinians and taken up with alacrity by global communities finding more in common with the concept of a beleaguered self-identified victim than a nation attempting to protect itself and its citizens from ongoing lethal violence.

"According to the information we've gathered, it appears likely that armed Palestinians -- who were indiscriminately firing at the time -- were responsible for the unfortunate death of the journalist", Israel's Prime Minister Naftali Bennett stated following the death of the journalist -- one of many deaths over the years of Al Jazeera reporters, none of which have ever engendered this level of enquiry.

A video was released by Israeli officials (IDF and Ministry of Foreign Affairs) showing a man firing down an alley and people running about at the time of the shooting in the Jenin Refugee Camp, shouting that a soldier had been shot. "No IDF soldier was injured, which increases the possibility that Palestinian terrorists were the ones who shot the journalist", said Mr. Bennett.

This, along with an initial autopsy of the journalist's body by Palestinian coroners who stated she had died when a bullet fired from several meters' distance struck her head. Dr. Ryan al-Ali of the Pathological Institute at the a-Najah University in Nablus was quoted as having said they could not determine who had shot her. As a Palestinian medical examiner, he did not echo the accusation levelled by the PA's Abbas, declining to comment on who might have fired the round, after The West Bank autopsy was concluded.
