The more often and more horrendously Israel is attacked by those whom the international community view as entitled, despite their inhumane, sadistic and savage atrocities, to 'share' geographic space with the very state those attacks target the more isolated Israel becomes. Needless to say, those in the forefront of encouraging Israel to restrain its response to barbaric onslaughts on its civilian population, have never themselves been forced by circumstances beyond their control to confront the reality of a savage neighbour for whom slaughter of innocents is viewed as a right by 'oppressed' people.

 

Oppressed simply as a result of the neighbour endlessly targeted for bloodshed, forced by those circumstances to maintain a military vigil to apprehend terrorist attacks in a never-ending effort to protect its population. A neighbour whose leaders have never missed an opportunity to spurn opportunities to have a state of their own which would call upon them to recognize the legitimacy of the Jewish state and an obligation to put a halt to assaulting it in efforts to pry the state loose from its geography.

 

For four thousand years evidence links Judaean life with the ancestral lands that have become a controversial international concern. The plan for Partition allotted both Jews and Arabs their own particular portions on what was traditionally Jewish geographic territory. Jewish leaders were willing to surrender their quest for the greater proportion of the land that represented their heritage, while the Arabs who took on the mantle of 'Palestinians' (nomenclature dating from the Roman Era to identify land dedicated to ancestral Jewish land) spurned the opportunity to accept their portion.

 

They have spurned it ever since. The West speaks of the solution inherent in the 'two-state' condition of Partition, as a fair division of land enabling two states to live side-by-side. Palestinians speaking to the West agree, while conspiring among themselves, adhere to a 'one-state' solution; envisioning Israel absent the land that would revert in its totality to their sponsorship as 'Palestine' engulfing both areas, with a Jewish state no longer a reality.

 

Yet the prime minister of Canada and his Australian and New Zealand counterparts feel justified in pressing Israel to agree to a 'compromise' reflecting their idea of a solution. In reality what they impress upon Israel is their agenda that the Jewish State set aside the horrors of October 7 in favour of supporting an official, internationally approved Palestinian State to be established as a neighbour, one which will inevitably return to its 'resistance' mode against the presence of Israel to fulfill its larger scheme of the one-state solution.

 

The International Court of Justice non-binding opinion representing condemnation of Israel's supervision of lands captured 57 years ago, handily neglects to consider that this was accomplished in defending the state from a series of  neighbourly military attacks to unseat it from the region, and all failed. In no other part of the world, by no other country, would it be seen as 'illegal' internationally when a country in defending itself from military aggression takes possession of disputed land; borders historically have seen alterations and have never been internationally challenged.

All three Western countries are adamant in their renewed calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. So in that event, Hamas can reconstitute itself, rearm, recruit, and repeat -- as it promised was its intention -- the Satanic acts of unrestrained inhumanity that it demonstrated on October 7, 2023 it was so capable of, and revelling in, an extent of bloodletting that was never sufficiently repugnant to satiate the terrorists' appetite for torture, mutilation, excruciating pain and ghoulish acts of sexual depravity before murdering their victims.

These three lily-livered leaders of once-credible countries outperform themselves in the depths of their concern for humanity expressed toward a nation whose dedication to human rights far exceeds their own, whose system of justice is more than fully capable of punishing miscreants of its own in the event of their civilly-unapproved actions, and whose military has done more to protect civilian lives than any other nation's military in history.

Palestinian civilians are indeed 'paying the price'. But, as Hamad, the gentle soul advocating for the annihilation of Israel and all Jews sheltering within their ancestral homeland, the leaders of his terrorist group, while happy to allow the population whose best interests they claim to represent to become martyrs for their cause of obliterating Jews in another genocidal effort they promise will be more effective than the last, will themselves evade the consequences of drawing Israel into the bombardment of Gaza.

 

A bombardment made rather complex by the sinister work of Hamas diverting international funding for Palestinians to their cause of establishing underground battlements, weapons storage units, safe places for terrorists, in a vast network of tunnels some sophisticated enough for vehicles to drive through, outfitted with electricity, water, heating and air conditioning. There, command centres are built under hospitals and ammunition depots under mosques. Shafts to the tunnels can be accessed from beneath apartment complexes, day care centres and private homes.

And since the tunnels, the rocket launch sites, command posts have been established within densely-inhabited areas of a crowded strip of land, incoming responses to outgoing rockets are meant to devastate civilians living within those areas. The more civilians that are wounded or killed by answering strikes from Israel to rockets coming over the border from Gaza, the more ammunition Hamas has for its public relations, crying out their victimhood from merciless Israeli military forces.

Now, after committing a monumental barbarism against Israeli civilians, young and old in southern Israel, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad feel entitled to control and direct the reaction of the West to the spectacle of Gaza being bombed by the Israel Defense Forces tasked to destroy the Hamas control centres, the tunnels, the weapons depots, the rocket launchers and Hamas leadership, along with their terrorist corps of psychopaths.

The carnage they wrought in Israel with mass rapes, mutilation of children and women, and a bloodbath of mass murder that elicited outrage in the West and celebration among Palestinians and their supporters worldwide, has been set aside. Now the instant communication of the present era linked to the infiltration of the West by Muslim immigrants, refugees and migrants who view events through the narrow lens of Islam's jihadist entitlements hold the world hostage to savagery in the name of 'freedom'.

And a once-proud nation like Canada sees its current government, heavy with an elected and elevated caucus of Muslims influencing the federal vote and a prime minister all too aware of his tenuous position as a leader who has outlived even his widely acknowledged incapability of leading a nation. From a tradition of standing beside and supporting a fellow democracy located in a sea of autocrats, dictators, theocracies and monarchies, Canada has chosen to give its oblique support to terrorism.

When the time has arrived that a high-level spokesman for the most notable terrorist group whose function clearly is to destroy Israel and the Jews within, records a video to express appreciation for the support of the governments of Canada, Australia and New Zealand in their call for a ceasefire, translated in this politically charged climate as Israel standing back from its stated goal of destroying Hamas, those three countries, along with all others at the United Nations General Assembly who vote for an unconditional ceasefire, ignoring Hamas's atrocities and its goals, have made their deal with the devil.

With careful tenderness to avoid raising psychological hackles against Muslims, against the religion of peace known as Islam, to convince New Zealanders through a deliberate thrust of clearing the faith, the culture that arises from the faith, the faith that holds sway among a large multitude of ethnic groups and which mysteriously breeds a violent ideology of terrorism, Ms.Ardern ushers her constituency away from blame while assuring the smaller constituency that all will be well. 

But there is ample blame to be apportioned in this unfortunate case which has resulted in great physical harm to innocent people, three of whom may yet lose their battle with premature death. This man was well known to police, he had a police record, he was known as an Islamist extremist and made no secret of his sympathies as a member in good standing of the Islamic State ideology of hatred and violence directed against the West.

The man was on a terror watch list, he had committed offences linked to terrorism in the past, had posted online sentiments clearly stating his Islamist extremist views. A resident of New Zealand for ten years, he had been listed since 2016 on the country's terror watch list. In July he was sentenced to a year of community supervision. The courts had ruled since he hadn't committed an offence considered sufficiently serious to be locked up, he would be closely monitored by police.

The police routinely following him believed he was merely on one of his food shopping expeditions as he entered the Countdown supermarket in an Auckland suburb. According to shocked witnesses, the man grasped a display knife to begin lashing out with it at customers "like a lunatic". To ordinary people such behaviour is unhinged, and authorities are only too happy to subscribe to the theory that anyone shouting "Alahu akbar" while attacking people is suffering from a mental illness. Preferably leaving Islam out of the debate.

 

The sounds emanating from the store of people screaming and running for their lives alerted the nearby surveillance police and they rushed into the store where they discharged their weapons an estimated ten times in response to being attacked themselves as they were charged by the knife-wielding Islamist. People lay on the floor of the supermarket, a woman and an elderly man among the seven knifed.

The situation is beyond strange; a man professing and proud to be a threatening Islamist who merited being under constant surveillance by a detail of police, is deployment-intense in terms of assigned man-hours and costs. Considered dangerous enough for continuous observation but not to the extent that he would be denied the freedom to walk the streets like any peaceful citizen with no thought of inflicting harm on others as an ideological commitment.

In 2016 he had posted statements on line in support of the ISIL attacks that took place in Brussels. Warned by police, he nonetheless continued his online threats ranting against "Kiwi scum". "The reality is that when you're surveilling someone on a 24-7 basis, it's not possible to be immediately next to them at all times", pointed out police commissioner Andrew Coster.

The Case for Banning Huawei from the 5G Networks of Five Eyes Allies

China, as a massive influence on the world economy, with the power of its 1.4-billion population labour base and huge consumer market attracting avid attention from corporate offices all over the world anxious to invest and to trade with the colossus, also inspires trepidation and caution in the minds of government authorities and their intelligence agencies as a result of its avaricious over-reach. Its plans for greater influence and control of the emerging nations of the world, its outreach to grasp the world's minerals and other natural resources arouses suspicion everywhere.

Its territorial ambitions are expansive and aggressive. Its hunger for new technology, particularly artificial intelligence is fed by its nonchalant lifting of trade secrets from the laboratories of nations that have invested time and expertise in developing them. China wishes to advantage itself by any means possible, many of which are piratical and obviously unethical. Espionage it conducts through reminding its citizens and companies abroad of their obligations to the state arouse doubts that its telecommunications giant Huawei will be an innocent player in global communications.

Canada's relations with China have been fraught with tension, caught in a trade war between its southern neighbour and largest trade partner, the United States, and China, Canada's third-largest trade destination. Beijing has been punishing Canada for its insolence in honouring an extradition agreement with the United States, in holding the CFO of Huawei on an American warrant. Accusations of 'racism' have echoed from Beijing to Ottawa, even as two Canadians are being held incommunicado as jailed hostages and Canadian exports in canola and beef to the huge market in China have been hobbled as punishment.

China is notorious for cyber-espionage, for ignoring copyright, for hijacking state and corporate secret files. Because Huawei answers directly to the Chinese Communist Party, suspicion that spyware can be planted in other nations' 5G upgrades proliferate, with reason. The Five eyes Intelligence alliance comprised of Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia have much to lose should China have access to intelligence shared between the five. To the extent that if any among the five agree to allow Huawei to take part in their upgrade, the other four would be endangered as well.

The promise with 5G wireless is speed of connection and greater bandwidth, permitting expanded use of digital technology overall. Private and secret information travelling along those networks would certainly be susceptible to cybersecurity lapses, making the countries involved vulnerable to China's eagerness to obtain secret information meant only for Five Eyes Intelligence alone.

A woman living nearby a small beachside town in New Zealand detailed to the New Zealand Herald that a woman had approached her home barefoot, with cuts on her face, wearing jeans stained with blood. She took the woman in, and heard her story of camping in a van with her Australian boyfriend in an off-the-beaten-track area known for its beaches and surfing. Sean McKinnon, 33, was vacationing with Bianca Buckley, 32, in Raglan.

She was awoken, hearing loud voices, then saw her boyfriend fumbling about evidently trying to find the keys to their rental van. A man had approached the van with a gun, demanding the keys to the vehicle. It appeared that Sean McKinnon had decided to cooperate with the demand initially, then suddenly changed his mind, possibly to challenge the person with the gun, refusing his demand. The instant response from the gunman was to shoot McKinnon twice, killing him.



The killer then shoved Bianca Buckley out of the van, telling her he had no intention of shooting her. She sprinted away, running around two kilometres, until she arrived at the woman's house. After the alarm had been sounded, police found Buckley's fiance's body in the camper van a few hours later, an hour's drive away from where they had been parked, in Gordonton. A homicide investigation was launched and a General Arming Order issued.

Police now knew they had a dangerous killer on the loose and they have been warned to arm themselves in the search for the gunman. This scenario is eerily familiar, all too similar to a horrific event that took place a month ago in northern British Columbia when another Australian man and his American girlfriend were shot to death by two B.C. teens who later also killed a biology lecturer from UBC, taking his van to drive to northern Manitoba, police in hot pursuit.

Eventually the two teens originally from Port Alberni on Vancouver Island, after experiencing days of survival camping in a remote northern Manitoba bush, coping with boggy, mosquito-and-black-fly infestations, hoping to avoid wolves and bears, and trying to elude a combined RCMP-military search for their whereabouts, were found dead close to the Nelson River, Manitoba on August 7.

It would be purely coincidental, but like Australian Lucas Fowler and his girlfriend Chynna Deese, who met while abroad and found so much in common with their shared love of the out-of-doors and travelling, Australian Sean McKinnon and Canadian Bianca Buckley too met while travelling in South America, and their passion for adventure and surfing made them inseparable.

Until in Bianca's case, she was lethally separated from Sean, while Lucas and Chynna died together, all victims of psychopaths.

Unlike the two murderers who shot Lucas Fowler and Chynna Deese to death and then turned their guns on themselves to commit suicide together, the killer of Sean McKinnon, a 22-year-old man, has been found and arrested, and charged with murder, aggravated robbery and threatening to kill. Police stated their belief that the fatal attack was a random, happenstance event.

So a Senator in Australia becomes the victim of a teen who wants to post a video of himself starring in a role of avenger of scurrilous remarks about immigrants to Australia and New Zealand and finds himself penalized by said victim who reacts by pummelling him in return. An ego-driven kid with a cellphone and the opportunity to seek instant fame and notoriety by seizing the day stalking and opportunistically victimizing a parliamentarian to demonstrate how audaciously bold he is respecting no authority other than that he anticipates from social media, is defended - the senator mocked.

Of course Senator Anning did the unthinkable -- to provoke this kid's attention selecting him as a target -- by invoking the ideology of Islamism and the culture of lawlessness and violence that accompanies it, infiltrating Western democracies. Which would not of course, had spurred attention had it not occurred in the wake of a horrendous atrocity carried out by a non-Muslim psychopath against innocent Muslims worshipping at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. The very name of the city invokes irony under the circumstances.

No one in their right mind would deny the barbarism of the attack, deliberately staged to slaughter innocent people to make an ideological statement which in the end demonstrates that hatred and violence and the wish to slaughter other human beings is the monopoly of Islamist jihadists. But the simple fact remains, attested to by the reality that jihadist attacks vastly outnumber any retributive attacks by non-Muslims, that it is violence carried out by Muslims against others of their faith and against Western democracies and non-Muslims that presents a global terrorist blight.

Anyone who protests against the continuing assault by Muslims actively involved in carrying out the Koranic-prescribed imperative of jihad by any and all means for the avowed purpose of religious-political-ideological conquest in view of the irrefutable reality of attacks around the globe, is held to a standard that the UN-based Organization for Islamic Cooperation would like to have enshrined in law as "Islamophobic", with attendant penalties. The migration of 'refugees' from Africa bringing with them societal criminal violence represents yet another aggravation.

The petition now going the rounds, initiated by a Sydney doctor and a Melbourne author both of the Muslim faith seeks to silence such critics of Islam as Senator Anning. By pointing out in his inimitable manner that Muslims all too frequently make poor prospects for integrating into Western society, accepting the norms of culture, social contracts and values of Western democracies, he speaks to the reality of the situation, considered unspeakable by Western authorities who prefer appeasement.

The tail, representing Muslim immigrants to Western democracies, by insisting on silencing critics and making it an offence under the law to criticize Islam and its practices, is now wagging the dog.

Anything can be politicized for advantage. And the current Liberal-led government of Justin Trudeau is immensely thankful that there is no cessation of dire, gruesome events on the world stage that can be used to divert public attention and politically polarize Canadians at a critical time for the prime minister and his cabinet, facing down charges of political interference in Canadian justice, among other instances of a government that feels entitled under the Liberal banner to exercise its eternal penchant for corruption.

No one would deny that the horrible death of 49 innocent people and the wounding of scores more at the hands of a hateful racist does not qualify as an atrocity that all decent people decry. In the Western zeal to prove how compassionate we are, news media fill their pages with mournful stories of the losses of ordinary people going about their ordinary lives peacefully only to have those lives violently interrupted, a community left in grief and disbelief. The inordinate focus on an event that occurs daily in the Muslim world in fact, but because it happened in a Western setting, outrage is spontaneous.

Grief and disbelief is without doubt how communities in Egypt, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Nigeria and elsewhere in the world of Muslim-majority countries feel when Islamists target Muslims and Christians and ethnic groups and other religions whom they find offensive to Islam in a jihadist blow to fulfill obligations of their faith. So the very people of Muslim faith in Ottawa who claim disbelief that a 'sanctuary' can be defiled by slaughter appear not to give a thought to fellow Muslims targeted by Islamist terrorists while themselves at prayer.

New Zealand is a long way away from Canada. Psychotic incidents of hate-filled non-Muslim psychopaths are rare. Similar events carried out by Islamist fundamentalists the world over are somewhat less rare, their victims far more numerous. While jihadists target those of their own faith in their ongoing sectarian dissonance of violent hatred, they also target Western non-Muslim communities and therefore represent a threat to the entire globe. Jihadist assaults throughout Africa, Asia and the West are numerous.

Yet to point this out, to criticize Islam for being a base of religion-inspired violence in the name of an ancient pledge to conquer the world on behalf of the Prophet Mohammad's Allah, is to engender accusations of 'Islamophobia'. Relatively few courageous Muslims exist around the world who will commit themselves to efforts to initialize a global move by Islam to reform itself, to search for a much needed enlightenment, to turn its followers away from the violence that its sacred writings espouse.

But those that do, become instant traitors to Islam, they are besieged with hatred, they become victims of assassination, they have fatwas issued against them, and they must employ security measures such as bodyguards to ensure their deaths not be hastened as punishment for the clarity of their thoughts on human rights and justice. Their very presence on earth is viewed as anathema to the clerics and intellectuals, and leaders of Islam.

When Islam no longer reminds its followers of their divine obligation to martyrdom on behalf of Islam, when Muslims understand that non-Muslims are just as worthy of living as they are, when Muslim-majority countries permit other religions freedom to practise the tenets of their faith without persecution, isolation and threats of violent attack, and finally when the Muslim majority rejects the current status of jihad as the major thrust of their faith and demands it be withdrawn, they will diffuse the suspicion, resentment and fear their religion has aroused in others.

The United Nations' Pernicious Landscape

British Leader Slams Kerry’s Unbalanced Approach to Israeli ‘Settlements’

The infamous United Nations Resolution 2334, brokered in secret by the Obama administration, supported unanimously by the UN Security Council's permanent members as well as by its revolving roster of elected temporary members, despite the abstention by the United States, plainly exhibited ill will toward the State of Israel. Using the issue of 'illegal settlements' as the excuse for this display of spiteful ire, Israel suffered the ignominy of being singled out yet again, to be informed by the world body's representatives that though itself a legal entity, its settlement policy flies in the face of international expectations.

Palestinian late-comers to the region have been given the stamp of approval withheld from Israel. And despite Israel's presence in Judea from its ancient heritage predating Islam and the Arab presence in Judea by thousands of years, for good measure, the resolution, while insisting that Israel be prepared to surrender its heritage land won back from Arab usurpers who attacked it repeatedly in efforts to destroy the Jewish State, upholding the Palestinian insistence that it has priority rights in the geography. This, despite repeated dismissals of offers to partition the land in question.

Moreover, the Security Council saw fit to delegitimize history and Judaism, along with the nation's sacred sites to the Palestinians' claims of authentic and prior claims on those very sites. The Islamic Waqf, the religious authority appointed by Jordan, and tolerated by Israel, acts as though the Temple Mount and the Western Wall are interloper sites of artificial presence, and there never existed upon the former, two iterations of the Temple of Solomon, the latter being the sole remnant of that ancient place of Judaic worship in east Jerusalem.

The disingenuous statements by Britain, following the vote which they supported is clearly difficult to take seriously. Wishing to appear principled, Great Britain has lost the capacity to claim that status for themselves on this unfortunate occasion. High-minded after the fact, but inconvenient during the vote. Australia's declaration, on the other hand, can be appreciated coming from a country that took no part in the vote and in all likelihood would have voted against it, unlike its neighbour, New Zealand, which is on the temporary, revolving UN Security Council membership.

The Waqf, and Palestinians, along with the extended Arab/Muslim unity, refuse to acknowledge Judaism's two most sacred historical sites of ancient heritage, claiming no such site ever existed, and that Jewish presence there defiles the third most sacred site in Islam, where the Prophet Mohammad was said to have ascended to Paradise on a flying horse. To avoid violence and rioting, Israeli authorities have agreed with Muslim demands that Jews not be permitted to pray on the Temple Mount. Jews and tourists appearing there are vocally derided and sometimes stoned by Palestinian thugs.

The Temple Mount, representing the Second Temple of Solomon when the first was destroyed in 587 BCE, rebuilt when Herod was King of Judea in 39 BCE, was not incidentally dismissed by UNESCO of having any historical connection to Jewish history. These resolutions by UN bodies bring shame to them, but do not deter them from their course of infamy, led by the influential and malevolently benighted Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the United Nations and their minion nations among the Non-Aligned group.

What, however, explains members of the permanent Security Council, Britain, France and Germany, supporting these pernicious moves to delegitimize Israel in the world body? Plain and simple anti-Semitism? Intellectual, philosophical and historical laziness? It is demanded of Israel that it make peace with Palestinians whose violent attacks against the Jewish State have become viciously congenital, abetted by the Palestinian Authority's continual grooming of that violence in the name of "resisting the occupation".

It is an 'occupation' of survival-necessity, a military presence deployed for the simple assurance that the peace can only be kept between Palestinians and Israelis, if the opportunity to attack on the part of the Palestinians is kept to a minimum. No Western-oriented, democratic nation has to suffer the consequences of an unprotected Israel, and nor do any suffer the implacability of a neighbour intent on continuing the violence. Where is the principled ideology of Britain, France and Germany when they sanctimoniously condemn Israel, when such action encourages the Palestinians to ever greater heights of violence against Israel?

Where, in the sanctified chambers of the United Nations they lend themselves to condemnation of Israel, yet have the unmitigated gall, having placed that tiny nation in ever greater danger by a UN-entitled Palestinian Authority urging incitement on a population whose needs they have repeatedly failed, in the process promoting violence against Israel, and when the latest of the lethal attacks take place, they piously flash the Israeli flag on their seats of government?
