Israel-PA - The Way It Is
"You have a situation in which last week [Palestinian President Mahmoud] Abbas went to Obama once again and said even if the negotiations go through I'm not going to declare an end to the conflict, and I'm not going to give up on the right of Palestinians to return to Israel, and of course I'm not going to recognize Israel as a Jewish state ... It's not peace, it's just a signed declaration of nothingness. In other words, it just projects the conflict into a different generation. So Israelis are saying if it's not going to be the end of the conflict, why would we possibly give up the land that serves as a buffer? What's hard for Israelis to understand is why Kerry and Obama can't see this for what it is."
"I think Abbas could be switched tomorrow and the Palestinians would be more or less in the same place. The Arab League just came out last week and said that they're never going to recognize Israel as a Jewish state. I mean, what do they care? If the conflict is really between the Israelis and the Palestinians, and there's peace with Egypt, and peace with Jordan, and Syria's in no position and Lebanon's not really a country anymore, why does the Arab League come out and say: we also are opposed to calling Israel a Jewish State?"
"[America, the credible broker] Why would you bet on these guys? These guys, who can't hold the line in Syria, can't hold the line in Iran, can't do anything about Crimea, these are the guys who are saying to Israel, we've got your backs, give up all this buffer territory, and if anything goes wrong we're going to be there for you? I mean Israelis are now laughing."

"While the Palestinians refuse to recognize Israel as the national homeland of the Jews, they admit that in fact, the Holy Land belongs to the Jews. They invented a word, "Judaize," and use it to define the Israelites in Israel. The Palestinian leaders call Israel's construction in Jerusalem the "Judaization of Jerusalem." The flyers distributed by the Palestinian terrorist organizations always call for the murder of all the Jews in "Palestine." The sheikhs and commanders of the Islamist terrorist organizations use the pulpits of the mosques to preach the slaughter of the Jews in "Palestine," as they were slaughtered by Muhammad. Even Palestinian intellectuals display the link between the Jews of "Palestine" and world Jewry as an aspect of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion."
"The Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state is based on the claim that it would deny Israeli Arabs their rights to the land and cancel the "historic rights" of the Palestinian people in Palestine. If the Palestinian leaders had any real interest in Israeli Arabs, they would have agreed to the proposal given by Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and accepted them and all their property and land, as Lieberman offered, as citizens of Palestine. The truth, however, is that despite the claims that Israel is discriminatory, colonialist and an apartheid state, even Israeli Arabs have no desire to exchange Israeli citizenship for a Palestinian Authority passport. By refusing to recognize Israel as a Jewish state the Palestinians are in fact admitting that they have no intention of ending the conflict. The Palestinian leaders claim they are willing to recognize the fact of Israel's existence, but not its right to exist."

"We hope that Kerry renews his efforts in the coming days. We don't want his mission to fail."Under "occupation", that self-exculpatory buzzword, delineating the oppressor and the oppressed. The PLO was formed as a militant group whose purpose was to destroy Israel and to reclaim the land it sits upon for Palestinian Arabs. The original 'Palestinians' were Jews; but just like everything else that matters to them belonging to others, Muslim Arabs have become skilled in co-opting the ownership of had become a tradition of success, their statements geared to eliciting the passions of forgiveness for the underdog.
"This step will affirm the status of Palestine in the international community legally and politically. If is a good step on our way to get the recognition from the entire world of our status as a state, equal to other states, but under occupation."
"Yasser Abed Rabbo, secretary-general, Palestine Liberation Organization
The world is eager to cooperate. Not worth the while to recall that the combined Arab state armies marched on Israel from its very inception and for decades afterward in repeated violent military attempts to destroy it. Not worthwhile recalling the terrorist activities of the hijacking, murdering PLO, from commandeering civilian airliners to butchering Israeli athletes at the Olympic Games in Munich, to the bloodily devastating suicide bombing campaigns that followed during the Intifadas.
To recall those horrendous events is to quibble with the portrait of a UN-sponsored, pitiable, hands-out mob of refugees refused acceptance by their brethren in the Middle East as incoming citizens to take the place of the Arabized Jews that were booted out of their ancestral homelands in Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Iraq (but never Saudi Arabia where their very presence since the Prophet Mohammed butchered them there, would befoul sacred Islamic ground), or that they might gather their pride and declare themselves no longer refugees, prepared to be responsible for themselves and to create a nation of their own.
To the world and within the United Nations they declare their intention to be a nation and to be recognized as such; Palestine for the Palestinians, a nation of Arabs originally from Egypt and from Jordan, for the most part. Whom, until the existance of the State of Israel, other Arab nations refused to recognize as a nation. On the other hand, recognize Israel as a nation, as a country whose existence is meant to ingather the Jewish diaspora and provide for them a homeland in their land of traditional heritage, where anti-Semitism would not be a divisive feature of social disharmony as in the international sphere? Islam forbids it.
That would be an act offensive to Islam. For within the Koran does it not state without equivocation that: On that account We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person -- unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land -- it would be as if he slew the whole people; and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our Messengers with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land. The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter. (Sura 5:31-33)
The simple fact of the matter is that when, in ancient times, Jews refused Mohammed's insistent invitation to discard Judaism for what he assured them as the Messenger of Allah was the perfected Monotheism of Islam, and that they must henceforth surrender to Islam and embrace it, while setting aside the outmoded Judaism, those Jews were slaughtered for their audacity in refusing. Which set the stage for confrontations between militant Islam (for Islam is militant; it is the jihadist duty of all Muslims to proselytize for Islam, and any method is acceptable) from that time forward.
The clever manipulation of the international community by the sages of Islam, explaining to Western scholastic and theocratical thought what they as interpreters of Islam have discerned the West would find acceptable, while acting in their perceived best interests in serving Islam, has brought to them acceptance from everywhere outside the Muslim world. And so, certainly not to upset U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, or U.S. President Barack Obama, but simply asserting the right of the Palestinian people to deny the existence and the entitlement of existence of a Jewish nation, the risible 'peace talks' are effectively concluded.
And Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, a man with no real lawful authority since the
'election' that brought him to the presidency has long overstayed its welcome, has taken it upon himself to do the will of the Palestinian people whose 'will' has long been saturated with the PLO's message, quite like that of Hamas, that patience is a virtue not unknown to the deserving and eventually the land will be returned to them. They have been taught this since childhood in their school curricula replete with maps showing "Palestine" and remarkably to Israelis, no "Israel"; with television programs inciting children to hate because the Jews plan to slaughter them.
This mystifying-to-Western-sensibilities agenda repeats itself without end; the international community soothed with the language they can understand and appreciate and have compassion for on behalf of the 60-year-and-counting Palestinian refugees whose numbers have swelled from 760,000 to over five million "oppressed" people, languishing in the anguish of their condition, yearning to return to what once was theirs, but in the meanwhile making do with the financial contributions and the goodwill commiseration of the international community.
"No recognition of Israel as a Jewish state, no waiving of the right of return and no abandoning Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine."
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas
