Canada's Bias Against Israel

"We will not have any form of arms, or parts of arms, be sent to Gaza. Period."
"How they're being sent and where they're being sent is irrelevant."
Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly
https://static.wixstatic.com/media/a2aa08_d54859ddeeb54be2846a6e54089fc316~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_875,h_560,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/arafat_web.jpg

Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is on record stating on more than one occasion that Israel has the "right to defend itself", in the wake of the Palestinian terrorist invasion of southern Israel on October 7 when thousands of Hamas operatives and those of other terrorist Palestinian groups crossed the border from Gaza into Israel to begin a day of mass rape, destruction, mutilation, and murder that resulted in the deaths of 1,200 Israeli citizens. Capping off a day of sadistic savagery that Hamas operatives themselves while in the throes of bloodlust videoed for posterity.

Throughout the world masses of Arab and Muslim and non-Muslim sympathizers have celebrated the massacre as an event whose time had come, lauding the 'courage' of Palestinian terrorists in defying Israel's efforts to convince them that continued violence will gain them nothing. Not only have these pro-Hamas demonstrations continued to roil democratic nations with continued Jew-threatening menace, as have clandestine acts of violence against synagogues, Jewish centres and parochial schools, but governments fearing the actions of large contingents of Muslims that have infiltrated their nations, fail to stop the social carnage and to protect their Jewish populations.

Canada is a case in point, where the federal government appears to be content with raucous, racist mobs marching through the streets, through shopping centres, through municipal offices and school districts calling on those in authority to give their uncritical support to Palestinians and Hamas, while decrying the presence of Jews, chanting for another 'final solution', a return to 'Europe' for Jews, and generally threatening their place in  civilized society.

They've succeeded to an astonishing degree; populations of non-Jews are loathe to become involved and few are willing to publicly decry the chaos brought by the new, loud and proud antisemitism that has arisen, from government departments to private industry to academia and unions. No lethal military equipment permits have been issued by Canada to Israel since this Liberal Trudeau government has taken the seat of government in Parliament.

The Liberal Party caucus itself hosts a large anti-Israel contingent, and their influence has been instrumental in the government having banned all non-lethal military exports to Israel that include night vision goggles and light armoured vehicles. As an extension of Melanie Joly's statement refusing to export any munitions that might end up in Israel, explosive mortar cartridges manufactured by General Dynamics in Quebec cannot be sent to the United States, flouting longstanding treaties and military cooperation.

It seems that the "genocide" committed by Israel in Gaza, farcical as it is, is taken seriously by the Canadian government, despite that it is Hamas that deliberately places its own population in harm's way, using statistics of those killed during the war in Gaza to manipulate the heartstrings of the West which then turns its accusations on Israel, not where it belongs, on Gaza's immorally dangerous terrorist-prone leadership. That Hamas embeds itself routinely in crowded civilian areas, places its weapons depots and its command posts alongside hospitals, schools, mosques and UN buildings is somehow overlooked.

The war of defense that Israel has been forced to commit to, is one that when it occurs with other nations is supported by their fellow democracies, but not, it seems, in Israel's case. Canada's Trudeau and Joly were quick to condemn Israel's military for events that they were not responsible for; accusing Israel of causing an explosion at a hospital that had actually been hit by a misfired Palestinian rocket.

Joly's department stated that "Canada condemns the Israeli strike that killed Palestinian civilians sheltering at a school in Gaza, including children". Yet another spurious accusation that fails to stand scrutiny since evidence demonstrated no strike occurred on a school, let alone a nearby mosque; rather part of the complex where Hamas was positioned was the target and was where the strike occurred.

With Foreign Affairs Minister Joly accepting versions of events put forward by terrorist groups in favour of those corrected realities explained by the Israeli government, she is placing herself and the country she represents in the good books of a terrorist organization that not only targets Jews/Israelis for mass murder, but finds it convenient for public relations reasons to place Palestinian citizens in harm's way when their death numbers can be cited to elicit condemnation from countries that should be allies of Israel.

Holding UNRWA Responsible

"Hi Marta, I am baffled how someone seemingly educated like you can spread lies to raise a few dollars. I just received your email saying that 'the ongoing war in Gaza comes after75 years of continuous displacement and dispossession'."
"No, Ms. Malaspina, it comes after the Hamas attack of October 7th in which Palestinians murdered 1,200 Jews in cold blood. Why can't you be honest?"
"We will expose these lies and encourage our own government in Canada to stop funding UNRWA because it's not truthful. Your note again proves it in writing."
"So, your fundraising email, because it shows the true colours of UNRWA, will bring about the defunding of UNRWA."
Avi Benlolo, Abraham Global Peace
https://smartcdn.gprod.postmedia.digital/nationalpost/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/AFP_1J761F.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&w=1128&h=846&type=webp&sig=Mi8oD6EQeuil1BFvWM92gA
This is the response by Avi Abraham Benlolo, founder and CEO of the Abraham Global Peace Initiative, to UNRWA's Digital Fundraising Team's Marta Malaspina, from whom he had received a widely circulated fundraising email alluding to Israel as an occupier/aggressor of Palestinians in Gaza. The email was sent under this woman's signature, and the response addressed her directly. Considering the source of the response, it isn't likely Ms. Malaspina will have lost much sleep over it.

It's odd how sometimes you come across names that seem to echo the sentiments of the bearer. Seeing the name 'Malaspina', one is reminded of 'malice', 'malicious', 'malediction', and other such unsavoury descriptives of human nature, and they all seem to fit this woman and her team and the United Nations unit she represents perfectly. This is the very same UNRWA dedicated in 1948 to the singular role of support to 'Palestinian refugees' in perpetuity.

This is the UNRWA that is a major employer of Palestinians. Palestinians who go about their business of spreading hatred of Israel, their designated enemy, a competitor for territory that Palestinians claim as their own, despite that the territory under contention represents the ancient heritage of the Jews, as ancestral Judaean land which under Roman occupation millennia past, was also called 'Palestina' as a province under Roman control.

Oh and yes, the same UNRWA whose schools for Palestinian children see school curricula replete with passages over the illegal occupation by Israel of land consecrated to Islam, that Jews yanked out from under the Palestinians under the fallacy claims of the land being ancestral to Judaism -- robbing Palestinians of their claimed patrimony. Claims that teachers working for UNRWA are happy to clarify for their students.

In classes where school plays can take the form of depicting Israeli atrocities inflicted on Palestinians and their children in a dreadful genocide the children are taught they can personally help to avoid, in dedicating themselves to the martyrdom cause of resistance, being exposed to the glories of a life of militancy and the use of lethal weaponry. Children who see the courageous resistance of Hamas as their guiding light.

But UNRWA, of course, knows nothing about these 'irregularities'. And nor has it any knowledge that their schools are often used as weapons depots, much less that Hamas terrorists set  up rocket launching sites adjacent to schools, as they do to hospitals and mosques. And the more these indiscretions are revealed, the less UNRWA knows about their existence.

There are, however, some who are listening and watching and drawing their own conclusions, particularly in the wake of the horrendous slaughter imposed by Hamas terrorists on southern Israel on October 7, a day of cold-blooded planning that saw operatives flooding into Israel through breaches in the separation wall at the Gaza border, invading towns and villages and kibbutzim where families were murdered, girls and women mass-raped, hostages taken back to Gaza, and Israel left in mourning.

Germany, which has funded UNRWA to the tune of $1 billion in the last five years, has announced all further funding is heretofore frozen. "UNRWA is not making a contribution to a peaceful solution", Germany's Greens' Max Lucks stated. "Not a single cent from Germany should reach teachers who glorify the terror of Hamas." Nothing even remotely similar comes out of the mouth of Canada's Prime Minister who recently increased its generosity to UNRWA.

A move to withhold 39 million euros from Palestinian groups, including from UNRWA has similarly come from the European Union. NGOs known to incite hatred against Israel. Now, the EU and other funders demand that UNRWA and other agencies enforce contracts requiring their schools and programs be monitored.

"I can see now that UNRWA, unfortunately, is holding the Palestinians themselves as hostage", says Avi Benlolo, speaking of the fundraising letter as an example in that UNRWA "is the only refugee organization in the world for one specific group [Palestinians]. Unlike other societies promoting coexistence, assimilating refugees, UNRWA has failed to promote integration into the societies in which Palestinians have moved"; i.e., Lebanon, Jordan and Syria.

A completely new system, organized to help Palestinians in the provision of humanitarian relief but whose objective is that of developing a sustainable society is required, suggests Mr. Benlolo. An entity internationally funded to advocate for cooperation rather than isolation, and absorption of refugees into current places of residence. Not 'refugee camps' under the ongoing narrative that a 'return' is feasible at some future date. A belief that can only be as frustrating as it is impossible.

As for Malaspina and her colleagues at UNRWA, blithely disregarding the barbarity of October 7, calling for 'solidarity' with the Palestinians, ignoring the Jewish women who were raped, the Jewish children who were mutilated by the same people supported by her agency. A new agency is needed to help rebuild  a society able to coexist peacefully alongside Israel.

Searching Gaza for Hamas Terrorists

"Each and every interrogation leads to the release of new locations and the human intelligence that emerges from the Gaza Strip."
"More than ten out of these 24 battalions [were] damaged significantly. In some battalions, we eliminated hundreds of Hamas terrorists."
"This can't be replaced (Hamas commanders killed in battle) in a war."
"[The number of rockets fired at Israel is decreasing, reaching] nearly zero. [Hamas still has firepower, however, and] if we want to take it, we have to go to the south [of Gaza]."

According to new revelations by the Israeli military, over 300 members of Hamas and other terrorist groups arrested in Gaza during the Israel Defense Forces ground invasion have been interrogated. Those interrogations have  yielded invaluable intel, including revelations of locations of underground tunnels, warehouses, weapons and the use of civilian infrastructure by Hamas.

The vast underground command complex centre beneath the Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza is of particular interest to the invading forces, since it is reputed to be the locale, hidden among the most vulnerable of places in wartime, a vast hospital complex, where vital command centres for the terrorists have been installed, shielded from view and presumably from attack during war.

Although Hamas, as well as Gaza health officials deny that Hamas has any positions installed within and beneath the hospital complex, intel says otherwise, and the forays by the IDF into and under the hospital have proven intel right and Hamas deceptive. Videos have been revealed from closed-circuit cameras showing Hamas operatives hustling Israeli hostages into and through the hospital.

According to the anonymous official, his intelligence unit has had thousands of telephone calls from residents of Gaza. Although no details were forthcoming, ostensibly to inform the IDF intelligence of information that might be useful in finding the sought-after evidence of Hamas duplicity in carrying out war crimes against its own population.

The human intelligence unit of the Israeli army, Unit 504, placed thousands of calls to Gaza residents and dropped millions of leaflets to alert and urge the Palestinians to evacuate to the territory's southern area as long as Israeli forces continue to target buildings in northern Gaza. There was a battle between Israeli forces and terrorists in the vicinity of a second hospital Monday, where thousands of patients and displaced residents have sheltered for weeks. IDF troops returned fire from Hamas fighters firing on them from within the 3.5-acre hospital compound.

Since the start of the war, over ten of Hamas's battalions sustained significant degradation. The battalion represents the main Hamas army unit, with roughly a thousand operatives in each. The IDF estimates that thousands of Hamas terrorists have been killed in the Israeli offensive. Most battalions are located in northern Gaza. A large number of Hamas commanders have also been killed; some battalions with over half their commanders gone.

In northern Gaza, Hamas's main rocket arsenals are concentrated. "We're approaching the end of our campaign in northern Gaza to root out Hamas infrastructure and will turn to the rest of the Gaza Strip", explained Eylon Levy, spokesman for the Israeli government. The main thrust of the ground offensive so far has been east into Gaza City, the Hamas "centre of gravity".

Many parts of the city's largest hospital, Al Shifa, are in control of Israeli forces. Videos were found over the weekend giving proof of Hamas's exploitation of the facility, where a command centre had been built, and a network of tunnels constructed under the ground.
