The Viral Vector of Antisemitism in Canada

"Under the radar, Canada is being infiltrated."
"The Muslim Brotherhood manipulates and uses these democratic principles [of Western democracy] and our cultural institutions in a way that allows them to enter into our society, to enter into higher education, to enter into the Muslim community, to create mosques and civic organizations that are radicalized."
"In the West -- in Canada but in other Western democratic countries -- we don't really understand what the Muslim Brotherhood is."
"It sounds like a benevolent organization. It's a nice name, [but] we don't understand the ideology, the goals, the religious worldview of the Brotherhood, what the strategic and military or philosophical  underpinnings are, and they have mastered us."
Dr. Charles Asher Small, founder/director, Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP)

"The ISGAP report is nothing more than recycled Islamophobic tropes dressed up as research."
"It is a biased, unsubstantiated hit piece that relies on discredited allegations that were themselves challenged by the Ontario Superior Court for their apparent bias."
"It amplifies narratives designed to fuel Islamophobia and sow division within Canadian society."
Muslim Association of Canada

"This report is a wake-up call for all Canadians. The Canadian government’s direct funding of organizations with documented links to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas is a betrayal of public trust and a threat to Canada’s national security."
"Our report exposes how federal agencies have become complicit in sustaining and legitimizing networks that promote antisemitic and anti-Israel ideologies under the guise of charity and social welfare."
"These entities are exploiting the very values of tolerance and pluralism that Canada holds dear, weaponizing public institutions against Jewish communities and undermining Canadian democracy itself."
Dr. Charles Small

SGAP Urges Canadian Government to Designate Muslim Brotherhood a Terrorist Organization

The newly released report by ISGAP holds that Canadian institutions have been infiltrated by the Muslim Brotherhood, a group founded in Egypt in the first quarter of the 20th century that has grown its tentacles worldwide as an inspiration in the world of fundamentalist Islam for global Islamic conquest. Its influence throughout the Islamic world is divided between Muslim-majority countries that have outlawed it in recognition of its goals to be achieved by any means of establishing a worldwide Caliphate ruled by Islamic Sharia law and those countries such as the Islamic Republic of Iran, Turkey, Qatar and Pakistan for whom that conquest goal is a shared aspiration.

The Brotherhood's entrenchment of its operatives throughout Canadian institutions, through non-profit organizations and universities, government agencies and trade unions poses a clear and present danger to the country. Its presence and influence in Western countries such as Spain, Italy, Ireland, the U.K., France and Belgium, to name but a handful, including the United States has succeeded in undermining culture, tradition, social mores and values to an extent that is truly alarming. And no group knows this as keenly as the diaspora Jews living in those countries which for the past three years have been subjected to Palestinian-focused threats, harassment, isolation, prejudice and violence.
Anti-Israel protesters at Toronto Metropolitan University on April 30, 2024.

The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism sets out its argument in a 200-page study that an organized campaign of pro-Palestinian activism and anti-Islamophobia rhetoric has succeeded in activating antisemitism throughout Canada. Groups associated with the Brotherhood have themselves been radicalized by them to carry on the scheme of painting Israel and Jews everywhere as the fulcrum of all that fails in the world; that conflict is the fault of the Jews -- ostensibly for having the unmitigated gall to rise to its own defence and responsive offence when savagely attacked by Islamist terrorists.

Funding for Islamist groups under the aegis of the Muslim Brotherhood is supplied by Qatar, investing oil wealth in gifting millions to academic institutions whose administrations are eager to receive those funds and amenable to cooperating with faculty and study bodies reflective of the Brotherhood's interests. While Egypt, Syria, Bahrain, Jordan and Saudi Arabia have outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood, the West is slow in taking up the initiative in recognizing them for what they represent, a wholesale move to install a foundation throughout civilized society of core Islamic values.

It is a type of 'entryism' - the act of changing institutions; cultural, governmental, educational and others from within that the ISGAP report points out the Muslim Brotherhood is involved in. Canadian multiculturalism provides the perfect backdrop along with immigration laws that have been relaxed without due diligence to enable viral Islamist fundamentalism entry. Canadian government authorities are fully aware of the presence of members of the Islamic Republican Guard Corps living in Canada, proscribed in some European countries, and posing a direct threat to security, but fail to deport them.

Muslim advocacy groups and charities purporting to be innocent and well-meaning entities are involved in lobbying to achieve their interests to the detriment of Canada's and to raise 'charitable' funds that end  up funding Islamist terrorism. The Brotherhood is a true transnational threat to civilized society everywhere, from the West to the Middle East. Yet recognition of their malign presence and the security threat they represent seems beyond the notice of government in Canada. Groups such as the Canadian Muslim Public Affairs Council (CMPAC) and The Canadian-Muslim Vote (TCMV), represent mobilization organs for bloc voting in Canada, the ISGAP report points out.

Khaled al-Qazzaz, CMPAC executive director, was formerly foreign affairs secretary for the Brotherhood's Mohamed Morsi in Egypt in 2011 after the violent disruptions of the Arab Spring brought down Egypt's long-time president, Hosni Mubarak, until a year later, Egypt's chief of the military, Abdel Fatah El-Sisi struck a coup, brought down the Brotherhood presidency, imprisoned Morsi and became Egypt's new president.

Standing United Against Antisemitism...Heartwarming...And, Then?

"Antisemitism in Canada has risen sharply in recent years, as demonstrated in hate crime statistics and the lived experiences of Jews across the country. These experiences are traumatic in themselves, while often reopening deep wounds rooted in the collective memory of the Holocaust and other historical forms of oppression."
"This pernicious form of hate has existed throughout Canada’s history, from exclusionary immigration policies and formal professional restrictions in the past, to contemporary forms of hate on Canadian streets, communities and online, often driven by conspiracy theories and disinformation campaigns from around the world."
"In the 1960s, a special committee on hate propaganda recognized the then relatively small and uncoordinated dissemination of hateful materials as a clear and present danger to the functioning of a democratic society. In response, Parliament enacted criminal prohibitions on hate propaganda that remain in place to this day."
"While these prohibitions remain a critical guardrail against rising hate, the means by which hatred is spread has evolved, and Canada faces new challenges that demand new solutions."
"The committee believes that hate cannot simply be legislated away and that education is the main tool to combat hate. General awareness-raising for Canadians and educating Canada’s youth about past and present forms of antisemitism are essential to our social cohesion."
"Online spaces are saturated with hate and misinformation that fuel radicalization. Antisemitism in these spaces ranges from shockingly explicit hate material to insidious and subtle forms of manipulation. These flawed media and information systems are pervasive, and too often play a critical role in shaping the minds of young people."
"At the same time, the committee heard that antisemitism is growing in various workplaces, with many witnesses highlighting medical professions and academia with particular concern. While Jewish communities share commonalities, they are not all the same, and antisemitism is experienced differently by different people, including based on how antisemitism intersects with other forms of prejudice, such as sexism."
"Antisemitism remains a clear and present danger to Canada’s free and democratic society. As several witnesses noted, historically antisemitism has often served as the prelude to other forms of hate. The committee is keenly aware of the similarities between antisemitism, sexism, anti-Black racism, Islamophobia, and other forms of hate, as well as the ways in which individuals can face intersectional discrimination. These prejudices undermine the social fabric of our democracy. Moreover, the possibility that these divisions can be amplified and exploited by foreign adversaries is a threat that Canada must take seriously."
Senate of Canada, Standing United Against Antisemitism

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Canadian Human Rights Commission joins people across Canada and around the world in honouring the six million Jewish lives taken during the Holocaust. Today marks the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, which alone claimed the lives of over one million Jewish people.
We call on everyone in Canada, to stand united today — and every day — against antisemitism.
We also remember the many others targeted by Nazi persecution, including ethnic Poles, Roma and Sinti communities, Soviet civilians, 2SLGBTQI+ people, people with disabilities, and political and religious dissidents.
We must never forget or deny the scale of the Holocaust, or how these horrors were allowed to happen. They were the result of deliberate state actions that normalized dehumanization, exclusion, violence and hateful rhetoric.
Canadian Human Rights Commission

While conflating hate-phobias newly skyrocketing in Canada, none of which are comparable to the rate of antisemitism newly reborn out of the ashes of the Canadian past, its embers re-ignited by the last several decades of immigration, migrants and refugee intake of people from North Africa and the Middle East, bringing with them their cultural/religious traditions of Jew-hate, the Senate investigation into Canadian antisemitism on steroids fails to make a connection between the rise of Jew-hate and the presence of Muslims cultivating it. The very same committee that feels it logical to lump anti-LGBTQ attitudes and 'Islamophobia' together with antisemitism.

In so doing the Senate has been singing from the hymnal of the governing Liberal party, which is functionally incapable of expressing its 'regret' at the rise of antisemitism in Canada, without pairing it with a revulsion against 'Islamophobia'. Islam has earned the kind of phobia it claims is expressed against its 'religion of peace' by distinguishing itself as the single most prevalent source of terrorism worldwide. A terrorism that has stalked communities and countries as organized jihadi groups whose names, such as the Islamic State in its many guises, taking over from al-Qaeda taught the world what human butchery in the name of  'peace' through conquest is.

It took over17 months for fifteen members of the Senate to interview 44 witnesses respecting Canadian incidents of Jew hate that have spiked in Canada as they have elsewhere since the Hamas-led terrorist attacks in southern Israel of 7 October, 2023 when thousands of Palestinians, including members of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Fatah, and Hamas, accompanied by ordinary Palestinian civilians flooded into Israel on an organized, planned and pre-practised barbaric splurge of mass rape, bestiality and slaughter.

Palestinian student groups have been in the forefront of organizing mass anti-Israel rallies throughout Canadian cities, of organizing university pro-Palestinian camps, of organizing marches through Jewish communities to shout 'Final Solution', 'From the River to the Sea', 'Go back to Poland!', and 'Globalize the Intifada', yet the clever minds of the Senators have been unable to put two-and-two together, unless it's the 2+2 that links antisemitism with 'Islamophobia'. In so doing, they echo the very sentiments of the federal government, and from there most provincial and municipal authorities and police services taking their cue from above.
"The committee is keenly aware of the similarities between antisemitism, sexism, anti-Black racism, Islamophobia, and other forms of hate, as well as the ways in which individuals can face intersectional discrimination."
The 73-page report does go so far as to mention 'young Canadians' radicalized by 'social media', implicating 'malicious foreign actors'. But never do they outright use the revelatory words 'Muslims' or 'Islam'. To do so would be to invite condemnation as 'Islamophobes', and we cannot have that, now can we? Canada, they recommend, must "develop and support digital literacy and social media education initiatives". To change the indoctrinated minds of those nursed on the stereotypes of those accursed Jews who have assaulted the rights of Palestinians by resurrecting their Jewish state on Judean ancestral geography.

They could have studied a special report out in 2025 by the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism for an accurate and realistic analysis that they themselves shirked at examining, lest they arrive at a similar conclusion: "For decades, organizations affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, of which Hamas is also an adherent, have managed to embed themselves at all levels of Canadian society. These organizations and their radical ideologies have significant carryover effects, most notably within the academic space."
"They [Muslim Brotherhood] basically aim to be the gatekeepers to the Muslim communities, that whenever politicians, governments or the media try to get the Muslim voice ... they would go through them."
Lorenzo Vidino, expert on Muslim Brotherhood, 2015 report to the Senate

Qatar, Terrorism Central -- Friend and Benefactor of the West

"We will be a moderate country."
"I have a genuine fear of prosecution from the Qatari government. And I've faced a lot of issues being outside Qatar. [There is a] high cost [for a security detail]. If they have the chance to get me, they will get me."
"I support peace with Israel and I definitely have opened the diplomatic channels with Israel."
"[Under my leadership Qatar would] absolutely never [bankroll designated terror groups]."
"That's one of the main things that a lot of Qatari people actually want. Because Hamas should not be existing in Qatar, al-Qaida should not be in Doha. Taliban should not be in Qatar."
"We should not pay the salaries of Hamas leaders. We should not pay the salaries of all these terror groups."
Sheikh Khalid Al-Hail, exiled Qatari political leader

President of the Qatari National Democratic Party, founder and opposition leader to the current Qatari government, Sheikh Al-Hail lives in exile in London, building a government-in-waiting, for a Doha far different from the current reality. As a wealthy businessman, Sheikh Al-Hail had once served as chairman of the board of over 30 Qatari companies with large-scale ventures country-wide. He left for London in 2013 as chairman and chief executive of Qatar Investment and Development Co.

In the space of a year, political differences of vast dimension between himself and newly-installed Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani saw his status changed from a highly respected Qatari businessman to a political opponent no longer welcome in his country of birth. A country while ostensibly an ally of the United States, the ruling elite of Qatar shelters and bankrolls Islamist Hamas, Taliban, al-Qaida affiliates and networks of the Muslim Brotherhood as one of the world's key state jihadi terrorism enablers.

Al Jazeera, the state's media arm, while barred in ten Arab countries, acts as a spokespiece for the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas positions in the interests of shaping opinion through media propaganda across the West and throughout the Arab world. Formerly an associate of a previous Qatar prime minister Hamad bin Jassim, Sheik Al-Hail was once welcome within the inner circle of the ruling elite before his break with the regime. The party he now leads began in 2010 as the Qatari Youth Rescue Movement, its goal to "reform the system in Qatar".
"[I envision a Qatar governed by a constitutional monarchy, with a] normal parliament, house of commons, house of lords -- democracy is key. We believe in freedom of speech and freedom of faith."
"[The sitting rulers, a coterie of family members, are] a gang and a mafia, that control our country and our wealth, and that's not acceptable."
"What you face in Qatar is actually the policy makers, most of them Muslim Brotherhood, and pro-Hamas. Qatari people have nothing to do with Muslim Brotherhood."
Sheikh Khalid Al-Hail

He first began to loom in the critical notice of the regime when he spoke publicly of "a corrupt financial system", propped up by political favouritism and patronage from the emir of Qatar. In 2014, the Sheik returned to Qatar after the assurances of Al Thani that he would be welcomed back. On his arrival back in Qatar he was taken to a "national security detention" centre, under accusations of planning a regime change. "I was surprised and shocked". In the 22 days that followed, he was tortured and bound through 20 hours of daily interrogation.

He managed to escape with outside intervention, ("my people managed to smuggle me outside") -- fled to Egypt with over 9,000 documents revealing the extent of corruption by Qatari officials which included a scheme to overthrow the ruling family of Saudi Arabia. Qatar, he said "turned on Israel" in stages; cutting formal ties under regional pressure at the time of the Second Intifada; followed by  patronizing the terrorist group Hamas and its leaders. As a first act on becoming leader of Qatar, the Sheikh spoke of putting the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas on a plane to be "sent to Israel to face justice".

Qatar's influence and the Muslim Brotherhood networks reach deep into Canada and other western democracies, stated the Sheikh. The largest foreign investor in US. higher education routing $6.6 billion into major universities, as a design to buy influence. Billions of Qatari dollars were infused into U.S. governmental institutions and policy-shaping systems, according to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies as well as a report by the Wall Street Journal.

As for Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's recent trip to Qatar and announcement of increased ties with the country -- in defence, trade and high tech -- this would have the effect of further ensnaring Canada into the same trap laid out for the United States, of a benign, trustworthy Middle East country -- despite all indications to the contrary -- with the allure of profitable bilateral trade, blinding Ottawa to the threats inherent in the presence of Qatari-aligned groups in Canada; Hezbollah and Hamas along with the Muslim Brotherhood among them.
"The Canadian government has given tens and tens of millions of dollars to Muslim-Brotherhood-aligned groups, for Islamophobia file projects."
"For you to be Liberal is not an issue; but for you to be stupid, that's the problem."

The Muslim Brotherhood's Global Threat Linked to Qatar's

"The Muslim Brotherhood is a militant Islamist organization with affiliates in over 70 countries, including groups designated a terrorist organizations by the U.S."
"[Its founder, Hassan al-Banna, said in 1928 that] Jihad is an obligation from Allah [for every Muslim] and cannot be ignored or evaded."
"The Way of Jihad [he wrote]: Jihad means the fighting of the unbelievers and involves all possible efforts that are necessary to dismantle the power of the enemies of Islam, including beating them, plundering their wealth, destroying their place of worship, and smashing their idols."
"This belief was put into action in t he decades that followed as the Muslim Brotherhood's members committed numerous acts of terrorism, including the assassination of Egypt's Prime Minister in 1948."
"This jihadist ideology continues to fuel the Muslim Brotherhood today. The Brotherhood mourned the death of Osama bin Laden and its leaders developed teachings justifying revolutionary violence under sharia law."
"The Brotherhood has preached hatred towards Jews, denied the Holocaust, and called for Israel's destruction."
The Brotherhood has incited violence against Coptic Christians in Egypt amidst a wave of church bombings and other attacks by terrorist groups, including ISIS."
"Yusuf al-Qaradawi, perhaps the Brotherhood's preeminent cleric, issued a fatwa legitimizing  terrorist attacks against American troops in Iraq. And he's also deemed the Holocaust to be a, quote, 'punishment for Jews', and expressed hope that another Holocaust would someday be carried out by his fellow Islamists."

The US has urged Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to act against terrorism  Reuters

Not only are some governments in the West recognizing finally the dire threat to Western civilization posed by the ideological fascism of Islamist fundamentalism espoused by the Muslim Brotherhood, they are now joined by a handful of Muslim countries as well whose governments have taken steps to outlaw their activities on their  soil. Among them is the United Arab Emirates which has been in the vanguard of issuing warnings to the West of the threat posed by this almost 100-year-old totalitarian Islamist group.

When President Donald Trump's government made it known it intended to "counter violence and destabilizing activities carried out by terrorist Muslim Brotherhood branches wherever they operate", a few branches of the Brotherhood were named as proscribed targets. A partial, and incomplete decision which should logically have outlawed the entire ideological/religio apparatus. Even that move, however, inspired the UAE to welcome the U.S. designation of several branches as terrorist organizations.

Unfortunately Mr. Trump's attention was to focus only on branches of the Muslim Brotherhood located in Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt, where it originated and from which the government of Egypt itself outlawed the group, which didn't stop it from continuing operations in Egypt. During the Arab Spring, when mobs of Egyptian dissenters called for Hosni Mubarak to step away from the presidency, the Muslim Brotherhood had huge support from the population. As it did from the U.S. Obama administration which chose to abandon its support for President Mubarak, and welcome the Brotherhood's Mohamed Morsi in his stead.

The Muslim Brotherhood is not alone in its "resources that enable them to engage in, support, or justify acts of extremism, hatred and terrorism" as the UAE put it. There is another source of all that the Brotherhood is recognized for, as a threat to Western values, heritage, society, culture and laws, that works studiously to accomplish the very same goal that motivates the Brotherhood. And that is the monarchy of Qatar whose vast riches from oil resources has enabled it to literally buy its way into the United States, furnishing tens of millions to American universities, while inserting itself into the political fabric of the U.S
.

Qatar's then-Emir, Sheikh Hamad, visited the Hamas-dominated Gaza Strip in 2012   Reuters

Qatar is the Muslim Brotherhood financier, just as it plowed millions upon millions into terrorist group activities, most notably Hamas, in Gaza. The US. State Department itself has recognized Qatar as a chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood for decades. That acknowledgment has come to nothing, despite knowing Qatar finances Islamist jihad and terrorist outfits that exemplify jihadist terrorism.

All of this is well known, and recognized, and it cannot have slipped the attention of the U.S. president who nonetheless views Qatar as a U.S. protectorate. Mr. Trump went so far as to issue an order stating the U.S. "shall regard any armed attack on the territory, sovereignty or critical infrastructure of the state of Qatar as a threat to the peace and security of the United States". This, despite the Qatar funding of terrorism, including al-Qaeda which carried out the 9-11 attacks in New York, Washington/Pentagon and Pennsylvania. The 'art of the deal' enters the picture, with Qatari/U.S. business interests.

The Qataris are shrewd enough to know that even American presidents can be 'bought' with extravagantly expensive gifts. Qatar's strategy to undermine the West while funding the Muslim Brotherhood is known, yet its vast wealth and 'investments' abroad have gained it respectability and admiration. Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney stated his intention to meet with "the Amir of Qatar, His Highness sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to deepen the relationship between Canada and Qatar".

Underlining the fault lines between intelligence and caution in that the West has chosen to blind itself to the reality of extremism that the Muslim Brotherhood and its sponsors represent as a dire threat to all the West holds dear.

The Growing Influence of the Muslim Brotherhood on Politics, Academia, and Civil Society in Canada
We Stand On Guard For Thee?

This research report provides a comprehensive analysis of the organization and impact of the Muslim Brotherhood network in Canada. Over a period of decades, Brotherhood-affiliated organizations have managed to develop legitimate ties and wield considerable influence within Canada’s civil, academic, and political spheres. Branches of organizations that have previously been found to be supporting terror organizations such as Hamas continue to operate with impunity, often after rebranding themselves. The report also assesses the impact that these developments have had on Canadian university campuses, with a particular focus on McGill University, Concordia University, the University of Toronto, and York University.

"The ongoing diplomatic crisis between Qatar and its Gulf neighbours, which centres mainly on the country's alleged support for terrorism, represents one of the biggest challenges to the UK’s foreign policy to the Middle East since the Arab Spring. Qatar has been accused by its neighbours of supporting terrorism and there is substantial evidence that the country has long been supporting the Al Nusra Front, designated by the US in 2012 as a foreign terrorist organization and the Al Qaeda branch in Syria. The support has included coordination between Al Nusra commanders and senior Qatari military officials and financiers, financial assistance, and help in creating a new opposition coalition in which Al Nusra was a leading member. Qatar has also found other means to support Al Nusra in the face of the US designation including the facilitation or direct payment of ransom to the group for the released of kidnapped victims and the toleration of private, designated terrorist financiers within the country. The most significant of these financiers is an individual described by the US as a Qatar-based terrorist financier and facilitator who is also the President of an anti-Western political coalition comprised of prominent Salafi and Global Muslim Brotherhood leaders. This coalition includes at least seven leading figures and/or their organizations designated as terrorists by the United States, the EU, and/or the United Nations for their support of Al-Qaeda and related groups. Some of these figures and/or the organization itself have suggested direct attacks on the US and the UK military and the Qatari GAAC President himself has bragged about the close cooperation between GAAC and the violent Iraqi "resistance" against coalition forces."

"An Explanatory Memorandum for the Muslim Brotherhood's Goals in North America."
"The process of settlement is a 'Civilization-Jihadist Process' with all the word means."
"The Ikhwan ['brotherhood'] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions."
"It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes and there is no escape from that destiny."
The Muslim Brotherhood

"Canada's permissive environment, shaped by a fragile national identity, a culture of victimhood, vote-bank politics, and unchecked immigration, has made it the ideal incubator for Islamist expansion."
"[Canada has] become 'ground zero' for their soft-power operations, from campaigns to criminalize 'Islamophobia' to the indoctrination of children under the banner of 'anti-Palestinian racism'."

The Muslim Brotherhood and its many associated arms well established in Canada as Muslim-Canadian groups whose purpose is to advance 'human rights', the protection of the Muslim-Canadian population of several million from criticism under threat of being labelled 'Islamophobic' in a greater society that shrinks from being thought of as 'racist' has infiltrated every level of society and government. Sitting in municipal chambers, on school boards, as directors in national public institutions, and among the professorial class in academia, advance a narrative of Muslim rights.

The installation of Islamic Sharia will once again crop  up as the Muslim demographic increases. Muslim groups, particularly those who associate their activities with the 'Palestinian cause', feel entitled to express their hatred toward a much smaller demographic of Canadian Jews by amassing mobs of anti-Israel, pro-Hamas agitators who have for the past several years since the Palestinian terrorist orgy of sadistic savagery in southern Israel on October 7/23, marched through city streets chanting 'globalize the intifada', 'Jews back to Europe', 'Final Solution', and 'From the river to the sea'.

In the process demonizing Israel as a 'genocidal' nation intent on exterminating Palestinians when it is the Palestinians who have for generations launched attacks against Israel and Jews, while Israel is left defending its population, against those portraying themselves as pitiable victims of Israeli aggression. The CEO of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, originally established with a focus on the Holocaust, has decided to mount a permanent 'Nakba' exhibit, damning the creation of Israel, grieving the 'catastrophe' it brought to Palestinian ambitions to own the geography of Judean ancestral land. Isha Khan, the CEO, assures that the exhibit will undergo the strictest adherence to the museum's human rights goal.

While the American Congress and Senate are working toward blacklisting the Muslim Brotherhood and its arms like the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Canada's Liberal government tolerates Islamist 'pro-Palestinian' marches through Jewish neighbourhoods, hostile gatherings of Islamists in front of Jewish old-age homes, parochial schools, and synagogues that intimidate and threaten Canadian Jews. Pro-Palestinian encampments on  university grounds that targeted Jewish students saw no action from any level of Canadian government to protect Canadian Jews.

That inaction led to criminal assaults against Jewish institutions and private businesses that were vandalized, fire-bombed and shot at. Public gatherings of Muslims for group prayer sessions, shutting down traffic and access to the public have been tolerated, as 'expressions of free speech and religion', while the very fact of that kind of 'occupation' is an Islamic expression of conquest of the public sphere. Canada's political, cultural and educational institutions have been subjected to entryism by Muslim jihadists using the soft-touch approach to insurgency.

Groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, members of the Iranian IRGC, are present in Canada representing the ideologies of jihad and terror, and official Canada does nothing to deter their presence, nor their criminal activities in money-laundering funds from criminal activities. The Brotherhood was described by a member of the European Parliament as "a clear and present challenge to European values" whose response was "to persuade the European Commission to change its policy and stop all contributions to Islamist organizations".

Ward Elcock, formerly director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) testifying on terrorist organizations that raise funds in Canada, warned Canada "cannot become, through inaction or otherwise, what might be called an unofficial state sponsor of terrorism", back in 1998. For the past ten years and counting, the government of Canada has been invested in appeasing Islamist terror, taking statements and accusations levelled against the State of Israel by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas as credible.

Slowly and surely the Muslim Brotherhood's silent stealth within Western countries, establishing itself as a legitimate voice of reasonable accommodation for the religion of peace as the true face of Islam -- as opposed to the murderously violent Islamist jihadists ravaging Africa, making incursions into Latin America, and roiling the Middle East, where most countries like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Jordan ban the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization --  has gained it a solid footing of trust, only now beginning to fray. But not yet in Canada.

Jihad: From Lethal Violence to Stealth Persuasion

"The process of settlement is a 'Civilization-Jihadist Process' with all the word means."
"The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating the destroying the western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions."
"It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny."
An Explanatory Memorandum for the Muslim Brotherhood's Goals in North America
Jihad: Holy or Unholy War?
John L. Esposito
The concept and practice of jihad have been critical in the history of
Islam.1 From the rise of Islam and the creation and expansion of the Muslim
community, jihad has played a central role in Islam. Jihad (exertion or struggle)
is sometimes referred to as the Sixth Pillar of Islam. Throughout history, (as in
other faiths) sacred scripture has been used and abused, interpreted and
misinterpreted, to justify resistance and liberation struggles, extremism and
terrorism, holy and unholy wars.
The importance of jihad is rooted in the Quran’s command to struggle (the
literal meaning of the word jihad) in the path of God and in the example of the
Prophet Muhammad and his early Companions. In its most general meaning,
jihad refers to the obligation incumbent on all Muslims, individuals and the
community, to follow and realize God’s will: to lead a virtuous life and to extend
the Islamic community through preaching, education, example, writing, etc.
Jihad also includes the right, indeed the obligation, to defend Islam and the
community from aggression. Throughout history, the call to jihad has rallied
Muslims to the defense of Islam.
Since the late 20th century, the word jihad has gained remarkable
currency: used by resistance, liberation, and terrorist movements alike to
legitimate their cause and motivate their followers. The Afghan Mujahiddin, the
Taliban and the Northern Alliance, have waged a jihad in Afghanistan against
foreign powers and among themselves; Muslims in Kashmir, Chechnya,
Daghestan and the southern Philippines, Bosnia and Kosovo have fashioned
their struggles as jihads; Hizbollah, HAMAS, and Islamic Jihad Palestine have
characterized war with Israel as a jihad; Algeria’s Armed Islamic Group has
engaged in a jihad of terror against the government there and Osama Bin Laden
and al-Qaeda have waged a global jihad against Muslim governments and the West.
The Muslim Brotherhood, the century-old Egypt-based totalitarian, political, exterminationist leader in Islamist conquest for the universal elevation of Islam and the subjugation of all people on the globe -- to submit to a religion conceived by an Arab businessman in the 7th century Mecca of the Middle East who diligently mined the prophets, holy concepts, and sacred human values of the Hebrew Holy Book to freely lift those precepts and philosophical, historical antecedents to be used in the conceiving of Muhammad's own rendition of a holy scripture, the Koran, which he held to supercede those of two predecessor religions; Judaism and Christianity, as God's 'final word' -- must be recognized for the danger it is.

Historical Muhammad: The Good, Bad, Downright Ugly - Apologetics

Since that inception in 1928 the Muslim Brotherhood has spread its tentacles throughout the world, with countless branches, both those dedicated to violent action -- in the Middle East, Africa and Asia -- and stealth persuasion -- in Western democracies; throughout Europe and the Americas, to use any and all methods between the two extremes to achieve the goal of Islamist domination. Recognizing its threat to their own status as governments, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood. It is past time for the West to catch up.

Moderate Muslim-majority countries are under attack by the Muslim Brotherhood's offshoots, just as Western countries are; the methodology differs, as do the techniques, but the end result is the same. Convert or die. Alternately, convert or live under Islam as taxed-and-tolerated inferiors.
Islam is  now the fastest-growing religion on the globe, likely to overtake Christianity within the next several decades. Where Christianity sees slumping followings, Islam's is expanding. And as it expands it also exports itself everywhere across the world.

Through immigration, migration, and refugee claimants, Islam is infiltrating everywhere. Muslims have a tendency to obey Koranic instructions to hold themselves separate from those of other, or no religious affiliations. And since Islam is an entire way of life, subscribed by the strict tenets laid down for Muslims through their holy scriptures, there is no assimilation within another culture, their values, acceptance of a different history, and above all, laws, other than Sharia.

Observant Muslims heed their obligation to procreation. Through the scimitar, the Koran and the cradle, Islam grows its ummah unrelentingly, the global presence of Muslims, either in Muslim-majority countries or through the limitless diaspora. And wherever Muslims congregate to become part and apart of an established presence in non-Muslim countries they agitate for Sharia law, arguing that their numbers reaching majority status demands it.

Oddly enough, for a strictly religious people, the incidence of crime among the Muslim population tends to be higher than for other groups. Illegal and criminal activities from human smuggling to trafficking in arms and prohibited substances such as recreational drugs go a long way to funding Islamist terrorism. Tellingly, Islamist groups have become proficient in their use of Western social and cultural concepts of fairness and equality, professing allegiance with social groups they have nothing in common with, and have no regard for, but to use them as helpful supports.

Appealing to the human rights due them, Islamists use the guise of victimhood to persuade social progressives abroad that they disproportionately suffer discrimination because of their religion, because of their culture and inherent beliefs, because of their skin colour, because their history is unappreciated, despite that Islam is a religion of peace. That criticism of Islam merely as a result of its proclivity to produce hordes of terrorists plaguing the world community in a violently constant replay of its founder's militancy of persuasion is 'Islamophobic', shaming the timid and the unaware to silence.

As the engine of Islamist totalitarianism the Muslim Brotherhood which has succeeded in inserting itself as an honourable representative of Islam throughout the West, with its machinations of its offshoots like    CAIR and its countless 'humanitarian charities' that purport to support the poor and the undertrodden in developing nations while siphoning the funds toward terrorism, it requires governments throughout the world to finally recognize its role in destroying what the Western world represents as democratic unions supporting human rights.

The Muslim Brotherhood's Influence in Canada

"The Ikhwan [Arabic for 'brethren'] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers [Muslims] so that it is eliminated and God's religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions."
From a 1991 memo of Muslim Brotherhood domination strategy

"[Canada has become] a hub for Muslim Brotherhood affiliated organizations that are exerting significant influence in Canadian civil society, academia, politics and government."
"[Many of whom have received funding from the government of Canada despite] verified ties to extremist entities, including Hamas."
"[The Muslim Brotherhood's] sabotage strategy [is clandestinely materializing in Canada]."
Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) report

ISGAP Urges Canadian Government to Designate Muslim Brotherhood a Terrorist Organization

The long-lived transnational Sunni Islamist movement with its goal of creating a global caliphate based on Sharia law is widely thought of as the most influential and largest Islamist group in modern history. The network is supported by powerful states like Qatar and Turkey. Both violent and non-violent forms of jihad are championed by the Brotherhood in achievement of Islamist supremacy. Its Egyptian founder Hassan al Banna stated in 1928: "It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet."

Al-Banna, a dedicated antisemite, and admirer of Adolf Hitler, had a pathological hatred for the West, Israel and Jews. Thought of as the "intellectual father of modern day jihad", Brotherhood idealogue Sayyid Qutib's radical prose outlined the ideological foundation for the Salafist jihadi movement, such that Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri of al-Qaeda were inspired to spawn terrorist groups such as Hamas and the Islamic State.

The Muslim Brotherhood is "the world's incubator of modern Islamic terrorism", "the world's most dangerous militant cult", wrote Cynthia Farahat, an Egyptian-American counterterrorism expert, in her book, The Secret Apparatus: The Muslim Brotherhood's Industry of Death. In the 1970s officially renouncing violence to achieve its aims, its support for terrorist groups and its actions in effect yet remain violence-oriented. Hamas was created in 1987 out of the Brotherhood whose international leadership directed its branches globally to support the terrorist group.

The very term 'Islamophobia' was popularized by the Brotherhood for the purpose of delegitimizing criticism of its Islamist ideology, with the intention of equating it with antisemitism, according to a leading scholar on the Middle East and Islam in the West, Gilles Kepel. Its success has enabled the Muslim Brotherhood to claim the moral high ground through implicating suspicion of Islam with victimhood. At the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation attempted to have criticism of Islam declared a universal crime.

Recently leaked, a French government report offered the most detailed official study of the Brotherhood's modus operandi and its European presence. The findings were ominous: the Brotherhood seeks to achieve its religio-political goal of gradual societal transformation; with plans to conquer not merely France, but the entire world of the West; findings that happen to reflect those of a similar 2015 U.K. government investigative report. Both France and the United Kingdom have effectively been flooded with a voluminous Muslim presence; the banlieus in France are unapproachable; both governments are wary of offending their Muslim demographics.

Canada presents as an ideal host for the Brotherhood given its permissive environment in the face of a newly fragile national identity courtesy of a decade of Liberal rule, its permissiveness of group-bloc votes, multiculturalism, wokeism and flagrantly oblivious immigration intake, including refugees and illegal migrants. The ISGAP report reveals an extensive ideological infrastructure the Brotherhood has furnished within Canada, through charities, schools and mosques, enabling it to infiltrate civil society and influence policy-generation under the mantle of religious and educational action.

Marc Lebuis, the director of Point de Bascule, an organization tracking jihadist movement in Canada. testified before a 2015 Senate committee, revealing that a senior Muslim Brotherhood leader in Canada had inspired Muslims to work toward influential positions in government and the justice system and from that vantage point, put a halt to applying legal provisions incompatible with sharia law.

In April, Jordan took the step of banning the Brotherhood which in effect posed a governing challenge to the Hashemite kingdom, joining Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates all of which had pre-dated Jordan's step by years previously. The sole western country to have banned the group is Austria. Designating it as a terrorist organization may yet eventuate shortly in the United States, where it is deeply engrained in the political and social fabric of the country.

It is imperative that Western countries recognize the danger represented by the Brotherhood, a recognition that now prevails in the Middle East. Its ideology promotes hatred, rejecting liberal democratic values and rejecting western justice. Their corrosive world view undermines social cohesion, fomenting division and radicalization where it establishes itself. In Canada, government should begin the process by eliminating public funding to its affiliated groups, and prosecute those who commit crimes, blacklist terror-financing fronts and publicly reject the entire Brotherhood apparatus.

Islamophobia Reigns!

"For decades, organizations affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, of which Hamas is also an adherent, have managed to embed themselves at all levels of Canadian Society."
"[The Muslim Brotherhood that has declared] jihad against the Jews [established a vast network of charities and fundraising across Canada]."
Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP)

"This report is a wake-up call for all Canadians."
"[The federal government should] designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization and] immediately freeze public funding to suspect organizations."
ISGAP board adviser Dr. Charles Asher Small
Haras Rafiq

"We stand on Guard for Thee? The Growing Influence of the Muslim Brotherhood on Politics, Academia, and Civil Society in America", published this week by the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy on whose board of directors sits Canada's former justice minister Irwin Cotler. The report sounds a long-overdue warning of the prominent presence in Canada of an organization established in Egypt almost a century ago. The Muslim Brotherhood's primary focus is the establishment of an Islamic caliphate. Antisemitic conspiracies is an integral feature of their ideology.

Tellingly, while the Muslim Brotherhood has experienced no measure of suspicion by the Western governments they have inveigled their way into, establishing themselves as a respected group speaking for Islam and the welfare of Muslims in the global umma, they are recognized as a terrorist group and outlawed in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. That enlightened view in recognition of what the Brotherhood represents is not shared by Western democracies, a puzzling lack of awareness.

The Muslim Brotherhood in the West?
Ignorance of the fact that Hamas is a Palestinian offshoot of the Brotherhood prevails. A Florida-based research group, the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, identified a number of Canadian charities with extensive links to the Muslim Brotherhood, pointing out their exploitation of Canadian law to enable them to raise funds for Muslim Brotherhood factions in the Middle East. Samidoun, based in Vancouver is one of them, recently declared a terrorist group by the federal government, but permitted to continue their Islamist agitation within Canada, along with fundraising.

NGO Monitor presents information about Samidoun in the European Union Parliament (March 2023)

The Muslim Association of Canada which boasts of being the "largest Muslim grassroots Canadian charitable organization", has been concerning in their influence in Canada on government and its agencies. A 2021 Canada Revenue Agency audit found "the concept of the Muslim Brotherhood appeared" in the charity's "governing documents". According to the Muslim Association of Canada, a "systematic Islamophobia" bias is in play, appealing the CRA audit that found sufficient grounds to revoke its charitable status, though it remains a registered charity on the federal government's database.

"This report is nothing more than recycled Islamophobic tropes dressed up as 'research' when in reality it's a biased, unsubstantiated hit piece that relies solely on discredited allegations -- allegations that were questioned by the Ontario Superior Court for their apparent bias and ultimately abandoned by the CRA in concluding its audit and reaching a resolution with MAC". Muslim Association of Canada rebuttal.

As it happens, the federal investigation revealed "most prominent members, directors and officials" of MAC were involved with either International Relief Fund for the Afflicted and Needy (IRFAN-Canada) "or a network of charities that appear to have been used to propagate and fundraise for Hamas in Canada". Designated a terror entity in 2014, IRFAN-Canada transferred almost $15 million to Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist group in Gaza.
"I think all Western countries have come to an understanding that the Brotherhood is a problematic group and I think the findings of all other countries apply also to Canada."
"The Brotherhood has an ability to push within Muslim communities narratives that are highly divisive, that are polarizing. It promotes values that are antithetical to those of Western constitutions when it comes to democracy, while it comes to women's rights, when it comes to gay rights, when it comes to freedom of religion, when it comes to antisemitism."
"[While the Islamist group itself] might not be directly engaged in terrorist activities, it promotes a narrative -- it mainstreams a narrative -- that lays the groundwork for jihadist groups to recruit. It creates this narrative of victimization: the narrative that Muslims are constantly under attack by the West with widespread Islamophobia."
Lorenzo Vidino, terror finance researcher, George Washington University Program on Extremism
The leading Canadian Muslim advocacy group, the ISGAP report points out, the National Council of Canadian Muslims, has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, Originally known as the Council on American-Islamic Relations Canada (CAIR-CAN), it was an outgrowth of the U.S. CAIR group, "a self-described Muslim Brotherhood front organization".
"This report does not serve Canadian interests. It amplifies foreign narratives designed to fuel Islamophobia and division within our society."
"Canadians should be concerned about foreign influence, particularly the foreign-funded industry of anti-Muslim hate that fuels reports like this."
"These authors should be ashamed of themselves for trafficking in Islamophobic tropes that endanger Canadian Muslims and undermine social cohesion."
Muslim Association of Canada
Islamophobia is the trigger-word whose purpose is to invoke the non-Muslim conscience against bigotry against Muslims. It is the ultimate victimhood word, designed and designated to prick empathy for a beleaguered religious group. A group, in actual fact, that has made it a vital part of their purpose in life, faithful to the injunctions of the Koran, to vilify and reproach non-Muslims for their ungodly ways. To target Jews and kuffars as enemies of Islam.

It is the Muslim community following the example of the committed jihadists among them that have trafficked in antisemitism, harassing the Canadian Jewish population, excoriating and damning Israel, lauding the courage of Islamist terrorists as freedom fighters, suggesting that Jews deserved the rapine, torture, mass murder perpetrated on peaceful Israeli farming communities. And while vehemently and violently violating Canadian population cohesion by their divisive and unlawful actions, portraying themselves as victims.

Islamophobia? REALLY?!!!

"Adopting the religious ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood is not the same thing as supporting the political ideology of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood."
"[The revenue agency 's Review and Analysis Division] conflated two entirely separate concepts."
"[As a registered charity, Muslim Association of Canada understands that it is subject to audit by the revenue agency, but it is] not subject to an audit that holds it to a different standard than audits of other religious charities."
"Put bluntly, the current [revenue agency] audit is so tainted by Charter infringements that is is unsalvageable."
Muslim Association of Canada appeal to Ontario Superior Court of Justice

"[The association, known as MAC] has not raised credible evidence that it was unfairly targeted by the Canada Revenue Agency [CRA], nor that in conducting the audit the CRA treated the Muslim Association of Canada [MAC] any differently than it would another charity."
Federal Attorney General submission
The federal government says it will examine the role of bias and Islamophobia within the Canada Revenue Agency, pictured here at its Ottawa headquarters in August 2021.
The Canada Revenue Agency's Ottawa headquarters. (Sean Kilpatrick/The Canadian Press)

It is the aim of the Muslim Association of Canada [MAC] to persuade the Ontario Superior Court of Justice to put a stop to Canada's revenue agency [CRA] in its audit of the MAC, accusing the CRA of violation of Charter Rights guarantees of equality and freedom of religion, expression and association. The charity accuses Canada Revenue Agency of systematic bias and Islamophobia.

The currently registered charity's lawyers plan to argue at a hearing that the audit, initiated in 2015 is discriminatory against Muslims. On the federal government's part, the case should be dismissed on the basis that the revenue agency's selection of the association to undergo an audit and examination to follow do not represent an infringement on Charter rights.

The MAC bills itself as a promoter of community service, education and youth empowerment, its mosques, schools and community centres in monthly use by 150,000 Canadians. The Review and Analysis Division of the revenue agency's charities directorate is currently conducting the audit. It is a division that has connections with national security agencies in carrying out such audits.

Revenue Minister Diane Lebouthillier requested of taxpayers; ombudsperson Francois Boileau to conduct a systemic review of the concerns from Muslim-led charities regarding their treatment by the revenue agency. Citing obstacles in accessing relevant information, Boileau was unable to examine the issue "deeply enough" in assessing the existence of bias in application of the revenue agency's processes.

The federal attorney general in a written submission to the court, spoke of the revenue agency's preliminary audit findings which identified "several serious issues" relating to the Muslim Association of Canada's non-compliance with its charitable registration obligations, including involvement in political activities of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, buying considerable real estate, providing support to an organization listed as a terrorist entity, and issuing improper donation receipts.

The MAC has initiated the Charter challenge, having provided "a detailed response" to the revenue agency, yet to issue a final decision on the audit. "Realizing that the die is already cast by a severely flawed audit process" led the association to its challenge. Conveniently overlooking the fact that the Muslim Brotherhood is recognized as a terrorist group and outlawed in Egypt itself as well as in Saudi Arabia. The Hamas terrorist group in Gaza developed as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood.

According to the charity the government is at fault by taking an incorrect approach from the beginning through identifying the risk of terrorist financing with minority groups labelled as foreign, Muslim organizations in particular.  "With such a starting point it is hardly surprising, although deeply disappointing, that Muslim Canadians are all painted with the same brush and an organization like MAC that runs mosques and schools is regarded as inherently suspect because its membership belongs to the same religious group as organizations like al-Qaeda".
