βThe girls will describe how Mr. Moazami presented a very alluring picture of a lifestyle as escorts, living in upscale condos, being able to afford expensive clothes, getting their hair and their nails done, going to tanning salons.βShe was all of fifteen years of age. No longer attending school. He was 27. She had an unfortunate, marginalized, background, socially deprived, underprivileged, uneducated, without parental direction, no one to care for or about her; on her own. Her childhood one of turbulence, drug use, estranged parents, socializing with a crowd with questionable values.

He is now on trial in B.C. Supreme Court, charged with 36 prostitution-related crimes. Human trafficking, sexual assault, touching a young person for a sexual purpose, compelling and using threats to live on the avails, and so on. All of these offences taking place from 2009 to 2011. Fundamentally, he was a brutal, conscienceless pimp.
Reza Moazmi met and persuaded quite a number of young girls, the youngest of whom was 14, to become involved in his extremely remunerative business. He operated a ring comprised of eleven teenage prostitutes in Vancouver. A menacing figure, the girls did his bidding. He ensconced them in an upscale apartment in the Richmond suburb of Vancouver where they were to live and"work".
No fewer than ten of those "high-end" apartments were rented by him to service his business.
He made all the arrangements with the johns who would drop by to visit with the teens. Mr. Moazami had an apprentice, a tiny long-haired Chihuahua whose name was Gucci. The girls loved the little dog, played with it, and valued its presence. As manipulations go, this was a very effective tool. If the girls failed to provide satisfaction the dog would pay the price.
Reza Moazami, a big brute of a man would hit the little animal, step on its neck, and threaten he meant to kill it. The girls would become compliant. He also provided them with the "date rape drug", GHB for recreational use.
One of the girls testified that she served an average of ten or eleven men each day. They would start visiting her from three in the afternoon, and sometimes her last customer would arrive at three in the morning.
He would assault the girls, and rape them and then order them to shower and "get ready for the next client". Once, furious that two of the girls whom he had dispatched to Calgary, hadn't done anything more than relax in their hotel room, he assaulted one of them, kicking her. "I punched him in the face", the girl testified.
Explaining that she ran from the hotel with her friend and got on a Greyhound bus bound for the city where her mother lived. Her sadistic exploiter attempted to persuade her to return. As his trial continues other young girls will bear witness to his crimes.
