Politic?

This is a blog dedicated to a personal interpretation of political news of the day. I attempt to be as knowledgeable as possible before commenting and committing my thoughts to a day's communication.

Madness and Mass Psychosis

From the micro- to macro-scale human dementia.  There is the individual, deeply invested in his religious belief that he is acting in accordance with the divine demands made upon the righteous.

And then there are the groups who believe similarly - those for example, whose hatred of Jews inspires them to state that their god whose very existence derives from the Judaic belief in a monotheistic all-powerful spirit inspired the knowledge and creation of Islam - that they are inspired justifiably from on high to slaughter Jews.

Richard Henry Bain's deadly nemesis was not a religious/ethnic group but rather a political ideology, and an ethnic language, both of which he held guilty of diminishing the human rights prospects of anglophones within the province of Quebec.

Where, thanks to the province's language laws, French holds the monopoly on language priority and English is scantly tolerated, abridging Mr. Bain's Charter rights and his enraged sensibilities.

On the night of the ascension of the minority Parti Quebecois government election-night, Mr. Bain appeared at the Montreal Metropolis concert hall where the PQ's victory rally was taking place.  There he shot two men, one mortally.  Quebec Premier Pauline Marois is convinced, in retrospect, that Mr. Bain was aiming for her specifically.
"I believe it was an assassination attempt.  The person could have had serious psychological problems, for sure.  But the fact is that when he acted, he acted against a sovereigntist while expressing his concerns for anglophones.  I believe there was a political component to that attack."

"May God bless you all", said Richard Henry Bain as he entered the Montreal courtroom for a routine setting of a trial date.

"I am a Christian soldier and ... we will never surrender to fight the evil separatists.  I fight for freedom, democracy, justice, and to speak one's mother tongue.  I am here today because my Lord and saviour has given me his vision of peace and harmony for all Canadians", said he.

Why, goodness gracious, Mr. Bain could be a speechwriter for Hamas.  Even Iran.  He has all the fine points down pat.  All he has to do is change a few details here and there.  The blessing of god could remain.  He must state, however, that he is a jihadist who surrenders only to Allah, committed to battle the evil that is Zionism.

His battle is for freedom, justice and the right to destroy the State of Israel.

There on the hallowed ground consecrated to Islam and none other, to destroy the presence of an upstart foreign presence of Jews whose claims to Israel and Jerusalem, let alone the Temple Mount have no basis in history, heritage, culture or fact.

The bloody carnage wreaked on the Jewish population of Israel is merited for they are all guilty of insulting Islam by their very presence.  These are sacred acts of martyrdom, not mass murder.

Or, as Mr. Bain responded to the query whether he understood he was facing a charge of first-degree murder: "Yes... (But) Christian soldiers don't murder."
