The annual Chairman's Conference for the Congressional and Parliamentary leaders of the Israel Allies Caucuses worldwide was held in Jerusalem this month to express "solidarity with the people and State of Israel at this critical hour."

Arutz Sheva joined the gathering and spoke with the participants to learn the rationale and mentality behind the conference.

"We are here to endorse the right of Israel to exist," said Dr. Kenneth Meshoe, Parliament Member from South Africa, who along with parliament members from around the world drafted a declaration with eight points that should be inalienable rights for the Jewish people and the State of Israel, such as the right to keep Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel and the right of Israel to use protective military actions without condemnation.

"The People of Israel have an inalienable right to live in peace and security in their historic homeland, including Judea and Samaria where there has been a consistent Jewish presence for 3,000 years," the declaration stated.

The threat that Iran poses to world peace was a major topic at the conference as well, with most coming to the agreement that while Binyamin Netanyahu's speech at the United Nations and his use of the bomb chart was very effective, leaders and even citizens of the world need to make more noise about the dire outcomes of a nuclear Iran.

Dr. James Lunney, Canadian member of parliament, said his country understands the need to ramp up dialogue, which he admits Israel has basically been doing entirely alone. He stressed the importance of speaking out against the threats Iran has been making. As the number of outspoken, passionate people rises, the amount of pressure on world governments increases and they will be forced to take action. "Many have given lip service and have not followed through," Lunney said about international commitment to economic sanctions against Iran.

"Members of parliament and Christian supporters of Israel must speak much louder," agreed Meshoe.
