The Conquest of Hate and Derision in Canada

"Chanting for intifada [uprisings against Israel and Jews, including acts of violence and terror] in the streets ... is a clear tactic of intimidation."
"The police must ensure that our streets are safe from hate, incitement and threats of violence."
Deborah Lyons, Antisemitism envoy

"People come here to escape hate and violence from world conflict zones."
"The vast majority of residents of Toronto do not want them recreated here."

December in Canada is the lead-up to the most celebrated time of year when both Christmas and New Year festivities enliven the otherwise cold and moody entrance of winter giving everyone, whether Christian or otherwise, an opportunity to enjoy and admire the happy feeling that courses through society and the beauty that arrives with the seasonal decorations in anticipation of the arrival of December 25. This year's Christmas was like none other before it.

Daily raucous protests course through the streets of Canada, led by those professing to be 'pro-Palestinian' when in fact they are pro-Hamas, approving of the October 7 savagery that the terrorist group that governs the Gaza Strip unleashed on Israeli civilians. For the most part, it was Israeli Jews that were tortured, mutilated, raped and butchered. But there were Israeli Arabs who got caught up in the frenzy of hate, along with foreign farm workers from Africa, mercilessly slaughtered by deranged terrorists.

The protesters were given what amounts to entitlement to disrupt traffic, enter private property at shopping malls, erect Palestinian and sometimes Hamas flags, scream at people, shout in unison that Israel must be destroyed through chants of 'from the river to the sea', accusing the Jewish state of genocide against Palestinians, somehow managing to bypass the reality that the terrorist groups Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, aided by ordinary Palestinian civilians who had sadistically murdered 1,200 people in the space of a day's orgy of killing.

Although these marches have been ongoing for months, beginning in the direct aftermath of October 7's massacre in Israel, the zeal of Canadian Palestinians and Arabs, along with others belonging to unions and the illiberal left has been unabated. Palestinian student groups all over Canada plan and orchestrate these hate-fests, abuse any who defy their version of reality, and threaten Jewish Canadians. Violent hate crimes target Jewish institutions, and the government of the day has been extraordinarily permissive.

Christmas in Canada this year, apart from record-breaking weather denying the Christmas season its usual sparkling white background, was thoroughly hijacked and soiled by the thugs with their rabble-rousing behaviour, staging inexcusable demonstrations, entering malls where traditional Santa Claus interactions with bedazzled children have been despoiled by Muslim gangs for whom Christmas is an event to be scorned and belittled, people engaged in holiday preparations insulted and assaulted.

"Jesus was a Palestinian" they aver, whether mockingly or seriously, a penchant of Palestinians to claim that anything and everything remarkable that has ever occurred, pre-history to the present was a Palestinian gift to the world. Rallies dubbed as "No xmas as usual" came complete with chants of "long live the intifada" along with "there is only one solution" in an obvious reference to the Nazi Final Solution that resulted in the Holocaust.

Pro-Israel counter-rally

On Christmas Eve, demonstrators waved Palestinian flags as they assembled on an overpass over Highway 401, where pro-Israel counter protesters confronted them in the immediate direction of the busiest highway in Canada. Boxing Day saw the protesters out in full force pestering shoppers in Montreal. "Shame on you", they chanted at clients and staff at a Montreal Zara shop, referring to an advertising campaign that appeared to connect imagery from Gaza scenes.

There has been no response from the federal government to the overwhelming chaos created by these unruly, threatening, disrupting, hate-fuelled mobs in their campaign to vilify Israel and terrorize local Jews in their "cancel Christmas" campaign. Police, though present, have moved not one finger to interfere and administer the law. Religious hatred and the commission of death threats don't appear to have moved any level of government. The question is how long will this criminally hateful behaviour be tolerated?

This is the Liberal government of Justin Trudeau that has announced it is prepared to bring in to Canada on special visa permits relatives of Palestinians living in Canada whose grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, parents, children are living in Gaza, wishing to migrate elsewhere. And why not Canada, which has given haven to hundreds of thousands of Muslims unwilling to integrate into Canadian society, accept Canadian values, honour Canadian heritage, and obey Canadian laws.

"Pro-Palestinian protesters set out to steal Christmas this year and they were successful in that endeavour. Part of the blame, however, lies with everyday Canadians for leaving Christmas out for the taking."
"If we don't smarten up soon, we could well lose the winter holiday for good, along with the few other remaining hallmarks of our collective identity."
