The Sage Wisdom of President Trump

"As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey [I've done before!]."
"[I have informed Erdogan that Turkey could suffer the] wrath of an extremely decimated economy [if it acts in Syria in a way that was not 'humane'."
U.S. President Donald J.Trump
Reality is that Donald Trump, a bully born who loves nothing more than to share his enlightened views of everything and anything through the medium of Twitter, believes that his cerebral cortex is an original work of nature's sublime apex of perfection. All other mortals have been gifted with pale imitations. Moreover, this modest man whose intellectual prowess brilliantly capable of sussing out advantageous positions and assessing consequences, knows his decision-making prowess is without peer, making it absolutely redundant to confer with others purporting to be knowledgeable on any given subject.

The cerebrum is the most highly developed part of the human brain --  responsible for thought processing, perceiving, producing and understanding language. Most information processing occurs in the cerebral cortex.

The cerebral cortex consists of folded bulges called gyri that create deep furrows or fissures called sulci. The folds in the brain add to its surface area, increasing the amount of gray matter and the quantity of information that can be processed by the possessor of this inimitable brain: D.J. Trump.

On Monday -- after announcing from the Oval Office that the United States is pulling its military forces out of northeastern Syria, where its longstanding allies, the Kurdish-led forces of the Syrian Democratic Forces whose courage and fighting skills enabled the U.S., on the backs of doughty, battle-hardened Kurdish women and men fighters, to push back the advance of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant which was acquiring greater territory for their Caliphate in Syria and Iraq while brutalizing, murdering and terrorizing the indigenous populations living there -- Trump issued a dire warning to Erdogan not to transgress.

It was the Kurds who gave protection to their own, and to the targeted Yazidi and Christian populations whom Islamic State meant to completely eradicate in a medieval campaign of slaughter and slavery. The Kurds -- whose estimated 40-million ethnic-cultural and heritage geography has been denied them, despite post-World War One promises by the West of the final establishment of a sovereign Kurdistan -- have long worked toward cooperation with the West notwithstanding that betrayal when the geography was handed over to Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria to be kept within their borders.

It was the Syrian Democratic Forces whose sacrifices of young fighting men and women succeeded in stopping the advance of the Islamic State and wresting its territorial grab enabling the terrorists finally to be taken prisoner -- that were left with the onerous, costly, and fighter-extensive position of holding the captured Islamic State murderers imprisoned. The backlash to President Trump's announcement of leaving the Kurds to fend for themselves against the malign plans of Recep Tayyip Erdogan was immediate and widespread.

Leaving the brilliant strategist Trump little option but to warn and threaten another tyrannical bully from Turkey of the consequences awaiting him and his administration and his country should he dare inflict his intentions on the now-exposed Kurds. Much good will it do. Erdogan is determined to shed his country of as many of the Sunni Syrian refugees who fled in their millions from the brutal killing ravages of Erdogan's Shiite counterpart, Bashar al-Assad to seek refuge in Turkey.

His long-dreamed-of 'safe corridor', a buffer between the border of Syria and Turkey which he plans to make Kurden-rein and to install Syrian Arab refugees in their stead, uprooting Kurds and ridding himself of the presence of Syrians whom Turks resent alongside the Turkish crumbling economic situation, will create not only his desired buffer but a life-long situation of enmity, anger and strife between two disparate people; the Kurds, once again disinherited, and the Syrians as interlopers.

"It appears that the Turks are intent on some sort of military operation, possibly combined with an effort to resettle refugees."
"The president made it very clear publicly and privately that the US does not endorse or support any Turkish operation in northern Syria, or there’ll be no US armed forces involvement, or support for any operation that the Turks undertake."
Senior U.S.Administration official

"That doesn’t mean the Turks can’t fly over Syria. That just means they can’t fly with the US."
"The DoD [defence department] is trying to signal the consequences to Turkey, and they don’t want to look complicit in what is about to happen."
Aaron Stein, director, Middle East programme, Foreign Policy Research Institute

"All preparations for a possible military operation into northeastern Syria are completed … " "Establishment of a safe zone is essential to contribute to stability and peace of the region and for Syrians to live in safety."
