UAE Professor: Jews in One Place for Easy Killing

A video released by MEMRI (Middle Eastern Media Research institute) shows a professor from Al Sharija University in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as saying that Allah has gathered the Jews in Israel in order that they may (conveniently) in found in one place in order for the Muslim to kill them on “Judgment Day.

“If the Jews were scattered throughout the world, how could we find them in order to fight them?” he asks. The professor also makes clear that, “The war between us and the Jews is a religious war. This is not a war over a path, a land or anything like that. It is part of the Koran that was given at Mecca, before the Muslims even met the Jews …

“(The Israelites) have spread all over the world. Now Allah gathers them in this land. He brings them in groups from countries all over the world in order to fulfill Allah’s universal law: Judgment Day will come when the Muslims fight the Jews, and the stone and the tree say, “Oh, Muslim, O servant of Allah, there is Jew behind me. Come and kill him.”
The Professor’s remarks were made on Al-Majd TV, a station shown in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

In spite of its professors, the UAE cultivates a cosmopolitan image, making itself out to be a modern country. On its website under Visitor Information, the university says, “The Emirate of Sharjah is renowned for its vibrant multicultural ambiance, diverse museums, reflecting both rich cultural heritage and contemporary artwork, and a charming blend of historical and modern architectural sites.”

The UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, speaking to a group of Muslim scholars emphasized the importance of their role in spreading a “moderate” Islamic message, saying their job was to promote Islam's “essential values of tolerance and mercy” while remaining up-to-date on modern changes and developments in the faith.

However, horror stories continue emanate from the country that is anything but tolerant. Particularly disconcerting is the case of Australian Alicia Gali, 29. Gali was working as a salon manager in a five-star international resort in the UAE. After requesting ice in her (legal) drink, Gali blacked out, having been drugged. She woke up the next morning injured so badly that she went to the hospital where she found out she had been sexually assaulted.

When Gali was discharged from the hospital, she was asked to go to a police station to make a statement and then speak in front of a judge. Afterwards, she was put into a police car and taken to jail where she spent the next 8 months in horrific conditions for the crime of “committing adultery.” (For the first 5 months of her sentence, Gali was left in the dark as to why she was in jail.)

In 2010 CNN reported that a British couple had been convicted of kissing in public and drinking alcohol, both crimes in the UAE. The couple was sentenced to a month in jail, deportation and a fine of $300. According to the report, “The couple was dining with friends at Bob's Easy Diner, one of a stretch of cafes on a popular strip behind the city's Jumeirah Beach. An Emirati woman with her family reported their behavior to police.”

The same year, the UAE blocked Blackberry services, siting the Smart Phone technology as a threat not only to national security but also to “societal values.”
