Iran Prepares

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Islamic Republic of Iran's grand spiritual leader, has alerted the heads of all of the country's military, intelligence and security groups to proceed with all necessary measures in defence of the regime. Iran feels itself threatened. Iran has surpassed itself in threatening the very existence of a neighbour, and it has alarmed the world community with its obvious, clandestine move toward nuclear weaponry, but it feels itself unjustly under threat.

The commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards has raised the readiness status of his forces, standing by for the eventuality of a strike by one - or many - of its enemies. Speculation is rife there as it is in the world of international espionage where no one country appears certain that any other country is not responsible for some exceedingly mysterious occurrences striking at the very heart of the Islamic Republic's nuclear plans.

As far as Western intelligence is concerned, Iran has proceeded with the initiation of plans to mount a defence including the use of long-range missiles, explosives, artillery, with any number of guard units being sent to key defensive positions, on high alert. The expectation is that there is an attack imminent, mounted by some countries possibly co-ordinating efforts to destroy Iran's nuclear infrastructure.

One might wonder, why bother? After all, someone, somewhere, has parlayed intelligence and inside conspirators; (perhaps the MEK), subterfuge and clever manipulations to somehow execute a number of highly successful assassinations, disastrous technological foul-ups, and hugely destructive explosions.

There are a number of very dead Iranian nuclear physicists, murdered by some mysterious hand.

And immense explosions ripped through a military base west of Tehran where engineers were busy with weapons meant to give Israel a "strong punch in the mouth". That huge compound is no more and 17 people are dead, inclusive of Gen.Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, founder of Iran's ballistic missile program. Some agency gave Iran a "strong punch in the mouth".

The last two years has seen two dozen odd explosions take place. Evidently aimed at Iran's nuclear and missile programs. If it is true, and from the reaction of the American CIA it may very well be, Iran's intelligence has successfully identified the identities of some of the informants that the U.S. has been dependent upon for strategic advantage.

And now Stuxnet, it appears, has given birth to yet another worm that has made its way into vital nuclear computer installations. It seems that Iran's problems simply have no intention of going away anytime soon. Unless, of course, the ruling Ayatollahs decide it is time to masquerade as intelligent international-law-respecting rulers instead of dangerously sinister collective psychopaths.
