The Islamofascist Template

There's the template, set out in black and white, exemplified by more than one episode of recent vintage. To the vicious jihadists nothing is sacred but their tryst with death, for death brings them to the notice of their maker who upon death elevates them to Paradise where all the treasures of the future reside for them, including countless virgins at their beck and call.

The sacred scriptures set out certain conditions for doing God's will.

Since God has willed that Islam must triumph, methods may be undertaken that many might find fault with, but not the dedicated shaheed. Whose martyrdom is solemnly heralded by a declaration to be unveiled after success has been achieved; death of the suicidist and death of those whom he/she targets.

In Islamic cultures where the turban is held to be sacred, and no one would suggest examining it, bombs are now secured therein. In Islamic cultures where burqas are de rigueur for Muslim women to hide their chasteness from the bold eyes of priapic men, burqas become a man's attire, its capacious interior perfection for concealing weaponry; who would ask a woman to reveal what lies beneath her all-encircling burqa?

Lies and blatant deceits normally held to be conspiratorial and wicked in nature in ordinary circumstances where acceptable actions are set out for the faithful to emulate, are embraced for the greater good of defeating an enemy.

It becomes permissible, even desirable in the extreme for plots to succeed to remove all traces of suspicion in the declaration of brotherhood, to disarm one's enemy. An enemy may be construed as one who resists fundamentalist versions of Islam, but who yet insists that all versions of Islam can live together in peace and harmony. That person is a disgrace to Islam and must be annihilated.

Just as Crusaders and Jews and any other intolerable type of infidel must be reckoned with by gaining their trust, by using their own enlightened and open demeanor and values to sue for co-operation so that Islamic Sharia may infiltrate the West. They are benighted, corrupt and untrustworthy, wishing to reach an accord where none can be achieved, for one does not bargain in good faith with the faithless.

And so it was that the Taliban struck again in Kabul, a city that Afghan security is said to have secured, made safe for its residents, foreign diplomats, the news media, national government offices and aid groups. The suicide bomber's target none other than the country's former prime minister, Burhanuddin Rabbani who had been involved in pursuit of an accommodation in a search for peace with the Taliban.

"As soon as Rabbani came three steps forward to hug Mohammad Masoom, he triggered his explosive-filled turban, killing Rabbani (another) Taliban militant Wahid Yar and four security guards present at the house", purred a Taliban spokesman. Two "articulate and well-trained" Taliban had been dispatched to negotiate, to build trust between themselves and Burhanuddin Rabbani.

And so they did. "Both of them were frequently meeting him at his Kabul home and secured the trust of Rabbani and his guards. They were telling Rabbani that they would soon bring senior Taliban leadership to the negotiating table with him", and thus did they succeed to demonstrate for all to see the utter, deliberate intransigence of the Taliban, like all dedicated jihadists.

The fiction that reasonable minds can debate with impassioned jihadists dedicated to the triumph of domination is a fantasy beloved of fools. Ritual tribalism antithetical to civil interaction, a religion besotted with death and destruction proves itself once again the deadly virus that it is, immune to the cure of reasonable interaction and intelligent debate.

Collaborate with those representing other tribal groups, and foreigners? To achieve peace on their terms? Why bother, when with continued dedication to bloodshed and chaos, they will in the end, surrender to the superior force and the demands of the one true god?
