Canada's Irish Jig

Now this really is some photograph. What are these federal Government of Canada luminaries engaged in? Ah well, congratulating and entertaining the troops, of course. Big broad smiles everywhere.

Canada is finally disengaging from its combat role in Afghanistan. That should be enough to make anyone smile.

And these song-and-dance good-news purveyors are also posed, poised and prepared to lead their admiring audience in ... you guessed it ... a jig.

See that posture, see those hands on hips, see those feet splayed in preparation? The next photo that hasn't yet been published shows everyone joining in, and jigging away to their hearts' content.
