Respect and Conciliation

Witless surrender. It's a game the East knows well, and one that the West neither recognizes nor credits. The stealth game of appearing the defenceless victim, infiltrating the countries that so effusively welcome the world's poor and defeated, with nobility of purpose. Where the slow and steady learning process of manipulating the laws and freedoms and guarantees of the West can be utilized to great advantage to heroically insist on recognition of foreign imperatives and religious relativity with the anticipated gallantry of the West never disappointing.

Until gradually, whatever defences are there, dissipate and finally disappear, and wholesale acceptance of whatever is not indigenous to society, their jurisprudence, heritage, culture is eventually degraded. Magnanimously and with great pride the new and hugely admired president of a new era in Western history admits with open arms the very discreet agenda that enabled the success of the pathological jihadists who mounted their airborne attacks on the World Trade Centre.

But they are free, through American generosity of spirit and pride in freedoms including that of religion, and suspicion of wrong-doing, to impose upon the landscape of that tragedy a symbolic presence of Islamic triumph in pioneering its massive and growing presence within the countries it will populate for the future of a different kind of Islamic conquest. Where the symbol of American financial success once stood, that ode to Mammon, will rise the overwhelming presence of yet another massive shrine to Allah.

The mayor of New York - the city once called "Hymietown" by Black leader Jesse Jackson who denoted the majority Jewish presence in a deliberately insulting manner - himself a Jew, supports the right of the Islamic community in a newly-realized "Mustropolis" to build precisely under the ghostly shadow of the pride of New York, with the Statue of Liberty looking on approvingly, clasping the poor and downtrodden to her generous breasts.

The scion of another refugee of an earlier time, joined with that of aristocratic American stock, now resides in the greatest place of national honour to declare his position on the matter, side-stepping the grave reservations of the Governor of the State of New York, and that, in fact, of the families who will forever mourn their lost ones. Supporters of the Cordoba Initiative point out that Muslims too died in the collapsing furnace of the World Trade Center.
"As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practise their religion as anyone else in this country." But no other religious element in that country ever mounted a horrendous attack on that monumental scale meant to entrap and to murder as many innocents as possible, and to deal a costly blow to the American financial system.
And what are we to make of that? Fanatical Islamists casually and regularly engage in mass murder of Muslims. Are we to take from the fact that Muslims too died in the collapse of modern history through 9-11 the message that Muslims are highly respectful of Muslim life? When in fact, Islamists view all life as dispensable to the larger glory of Islamic victory. America will, with huge equanimity, allow Islam to spread itself comfortably in population and infrastructure.

Within the Arab and the Muslim world, other religions are suppressed and repressed, held to be criminal manifestations of aggravated evil, insults to the supremacy of Allah and His institutional theocratic presence. It is a gravely punishable act to worship other than Islam in most Muslim countries. Christians and Hindus, Jews and Buddhists are punished for their disgraceful resistance to Islam. Muslims who wish to convert sign their own death warrant.
"I understand the emotions that this issue engenders. Ground Zero is, indeed hallowed ground. This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable. The principle that people of all faiths are welcome in this country, and will not be treated differently by their government, is essential to who we are." U.S. President Barack Obama
Fundamental to the principles of the American Constitution is the equality of all people, but what good does that principle accomplish when it is not shared by a powerful cadre of determined dissenters whose dedication to violent upheaval of Western values allows it to discount the value of humanity in the greater interests of furthering the prevalence of messages that invoke the necessity of Muslims surrendering their lives to violent jihad?

Standing four-square on the honourable principles that define American values will do little to ensure the longevity of American values and priorities on a grossly uneven playing field. America demolishes the concept of equality when it uses robot guided missiles to assassinate key players in the war against terror that is now called defending against insurgents in Afghanistan, but upholds the classical idealism of an earlier less complicated age at home.

To the advantageous future planning of Islamists, and leading to the inevitable and eventual collapse of pretense of nobility when at some near future date America will find itself out-finessed by a cunning mindset well honed in tribal chess-playing as medieval-souled foot soldiers for Allah pursue their global conquest goals.

As the height of inattention to details expresses itself in the reality that Saudi Arabia has gained untold wealth through draining that of the West with its oil reserves, the United States continues to view the Saudis as trusted friends and allies. American funding of Saudi Arabia through oil imports funded the proliferation of madrassas that taught young Muslims rigid Wahhabist theology breeding violent jihadist Islamism.

Now the United States, in a perilous financial state over its lack of economic diligence causing a global crisis in international economics, looks to recapture some of its lost revenues through the military-industrial complex of which it remains the exemplar of futurist technology. Sales to Saudi Arabia to the tune of $60-billion in state-of-the-art fighter aircraft are being processed.

Instead of expecting American Muslims to honour the society of which they have chosen to be a part, by respecting the sensibilities and needs of other Americans, President Obama has resorted to berating his fellow Americans for their lack of sensitivity to the needs of Muslims. Instead of supporting the military advantage required to ensure that a democratic Israel remains capable of defending itself against incessant threats to its existence, President Obama equips its enemies.

Instead of cautioning Iran that its incendiary promise to eradicate Israel, and its plans to obtain nuclear firepower will not be tolerated through an initiative with teeth, the United States has succumbed to accepting the inevitable, while vowing to protect itself and its allies with a non-existent 'shield'.

Instead of firmly reminding Muslim Americans that they have a moral obligation to respect the sensitivities of others, the U.S. State Department has funded the notorious Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf on a 'religious tolerance' mission to the Middle East. This is a man, a respected cleric whose utterances at key dramatic moments in America's recent history should have highlighted him as grossly suspicious in intent.

The imam whose resolute insistence that the giant mosque and community centre must be constructed where he and his (silent, unacknowledged, unnamed) backers insist it should be built, despite nation-wide protests and the obvious pain being experienced by the desolated families of New York's first responders who perished along with innocent workers in the 9-11 disaster, is teaching 'religious tolerance' to Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, courtesy of the American taxpayer.

Sad, alarming and startlingly absurd realities.
