Facades
It's not very original, but still an effectively practical protocol. To identify, adapt, finesse and adopt a platform of world domination, by emulating stealthily what has always been attributed to the Jews.
Islam was conceived by co-opting many of its defining guidelines (monotheism, tenets) and values from Judaism. Is it so surprising, that given the historical connection between the ancient Israelites and the tribes of nomadic Bedouin forever at war with one another, that the Arab-unifying religion of Islam had its initiation in the 7th Century through the clever foresight of a man Islam now worships as the Prophet Muhammad?
Is it so very surprising that history reprises itself, and emulation that has led to success, merits further emulation?
In this current example in the latest adaptation of a methodology viewed as useful for Arab/Muslim furtherance of an ambitious plan to redeem the long-gone world of global Islam, the old trope of Jews yearning to achieve world domination by becoming the masters of world finance and purveyors of world news, has obviously appealed to those whose intention is to make real what has been attributed to Judaism, on behalf of Islam.
The brilliant idea of financing a vast news network stationed out of Doha, Qatar, claiming it to be a balanced, fair and just reportage of world affairs, from an Arab perspective has caught fire. Al-Jazeera now dominates news in many parts of the world. With what the network claims is a global perspective of world affairs, employing over a thousand people from 50 nations. That's pretty all-encompassing.
Al-Jazeera's influence throughout the Middle East and within the Muslim world, in Africa, Asia, Latin America and most of the developing world is astonishing. It has made huge inroads into the European news media. And just recently introduced into Canada, while still working on making its untrammelled way into the United States. The legwork in North America has been accomplished by Tony Burman, managing director of Al-Jazeera English TV.
A former head of Canada's Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Mr. Burman accepted the offer Al-Jazeera proffered, with alacrity. A challenge he could not dismiss lightly. He has been extremely useful to the network. Capably negotiating deals that placed the channel on cable systems Canada-wide. After having successfully doubled Al-Jazeera English network's in Europe, Asia and Africa. Expanding its presence in the U.S. is currently on his mind.
It doesn't seem to trouble him greatly that his predecessor resigned with the complaint of anti-Western bias. Or that five female anchors resigned recently protesting the channel's dress code for women, reflective of its Islamic outreach. Al-Jazeera reaches into a cable channel in Washington. Where, it has been said, the White House is interested in what it produces. Hardly surprising, given President Obama's wish for outreach to the Muslim world.
Al-Jazeera has broadcast centres in Doha (home), Washington, London, and Kuala Lumpur, claiming that it authentically offers an international perspective. Mr. Burman is set to leave Doha headquarters to re-locate to Toronto. Which would be helpful, given the connections between cable and satellite industries in Canada and the U.S., in aiding him to convince the United States to open up to Al-Jazeera English, beyond simply Washington.
This is the Islamist-sharia way, of steady, quiet and effective infiltration. This does not reflect the original and commonly-accepted interpretation of shariah which has held that Muslim migrants to non-Muslim countries are obligated to accept the laws and customs of those lands to which they have immigrated and where they become citizens; "to listen to and obey the ruler, as long as one is not ordered to carry out a sin".
Fundamentalist Islamists now interpret those orders differently. That Muslims must achieve another kind of situation for themselves, that they must agitate for shariah by exception as minorities living in the West; to institute a separate legal system having jurisdiction over Muslims, having the support of the non-Muslim state in which they live. This has occurred in Great Britain, and even the Archbishop of Canterbury supported it.
Most Muslims living in Western societies are not themselves dreadfully anxious to embrace sharia there. Female Muslims in particular are not enamoured of living under sharia law in countries of the West, where they have settled to take advantage of freedoms and opportunities denied them in their countries of origin. It was Muslim women who campaigned vigorously in Ontario against shariah, and who celebrated hugely when the initiative was defeated.
But the struggle by Saudi-financed Muslim fundamentalists, community leaders, clerics and academics invested in gradually succeeding in undermining Western canons of legal equality under universal laws that apply to all citizens, regardless of their religions is relentless. "Reasonable accommodation" to a wish list of exceptions and alterations to existing laws at the behest of a Muslim fundamentalist elite benefits no one but the stealth program of steady progress in infiltration and alteration at the base of the intention to effect change benefiting Islam.
"Parallel shariah" will be the foot in the door of a change no one but Islamists will benefit by. Wealth created by oil revenues which enabled the setting up of madrassas to teach the elements of the Koran interpreted rigidly by Wahhabist imams, sending out cadres of indoctrinated jihadists, both spiritual and violent in purpose, to effect a change in the world order is having its inevitable effect.
That same wealth that funds a large and ever-growing news network steadily feeding a Muslim-centrist view of world events, however well masked it is, in a facade of neutral news-gathering. The mask slips from time to time, although it is held fairly firmly in place, for the most part. The biases are still evident, but less noticeable to those who prefer to find no fault. Like the "useful idiots" who work feverishly on behalf of the network, seeing no hidden agenda because they prefer not to.
Even al-Qaeda appears to be entering the battle for the 'hearts and minds' of undecided and frail-minded Muslims, along with the 'useful idiots' who incessantly proclaim their unquestioning support for misunderstood Muslim 'activists'. A new report now appears to give credence to al-Qaeda launching an English-language propaganda magazine: Inspire, to 'inspire' new recruits in the world of the West, according to analysts.
One of its articles is inspiring in a way understandable to al-Qaeda adherents: "Make a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom". Another article, reportedly written by Osama bin Laden himself addresses another issue so dear to the hearts of Islamist jihadists: "how to save the earth". Whether this can be interpreted as a message that the globe will be saved with the introduction of global sharia under a new Caliphate, or a droll reference to the environment, is uncertain.
The SITE Intelligence Group which has a copy of this newly inspired effort to inspire the inspire-conscious relates that three pages are intelligible-English, the others 64 pages full of computer-coded garble. Most auspicious. But a departure from the traditional Arabic-only propaganda material emanating from al-Qaeda. "It is clearly intended for the aspiring jihadist in the U.S. or U.K. who may be the next Fort Hood murderer or Times Square bomber", opined a Brookings Institution scholar, and former CIA agent.
Trending away, he feels, from global terrorism toward homegrown domestic terrorism within Muslim communities. It's quite the over-arching reach. In-your-face violent jihad that inspires terror through the extent of the bitterness consuming a vicious hate-consumed minority of fascist Muslims. As opposed to the gentle and low-key mechanism of news distribution with a Muslim slant which appears on the surface to be completely objective.
Oil=wealth+news=power. An amazingly successful formula.
