Well, So What?!
Well, perhaps it might be a good idea to bring Rahim Jaffer back to parliament, and that position might be just the ticket for him. Just as his plucky-klutzy wife is busily engaged representing women's rights, he could do the same for the spear side. They're a lovely looking young couple with good connections, move in an upscale milieu, share regular Canadian values; international travel, fast cars, alcohol consumption, dope...
Ah, just kidding. Actually, it's time to lay off Helena Guergis. She was stressed and time-shriveled, so she acted out. And lived to regret it, hugely. It's just that the Liberals are on a bit of a roll; no subject too large and controversial, none too absurdly trite and trivial, from Afghan detainees to human rights groups, to infantile agendas to assassinate the sad character of a Minister of the Crown.
Talk about making much of nothing. So there are people who happen to work for her department and they kind of like the woman who heads it, and feel they would like to defend her, and so they did. There are enough letters scribbled off (all right keyboarded, texted) to the editor from people with definite personal agendas and incriminating connections in defence of what and whom they hold in esteem.
Why single out this poor unfortunate woman? What I really meant was why pick on a singularly talented women elected to public office, entrusted with a notable portfolio who in her personal appearances stands out as a proponent for women's equality, etcetera?
Er somethin'.
