Dedicated Automatons

It's difficult to believe that human beings' intelligence and compassion can become so utterly compromised, so perverted, that they will accept and obey commands to murder other human beings. The perversion of normal human tendencies to have compassion for others, to wish to live in harmony with others, has become a hallmark of fanatical Islamists.

The mind-warping techniques of instilling in young men the belief that their god requires of them that they become mass murderers and dedicate themselves to the finality of martyrdom defies rationality.

But this phenomenon in all its blatant evil, representing as a vicious betrayal of peace-loving and decent Muslims, presents itself all over the world, in a tornado of blood-lust and blind vengefulness against those whose culture and religion is other, and as such, unacceptable, an unforgivable affront to Islam.

Throughout Pakistan - the fount of vicious jihad - Afghanistan, Iraq, India, Sudan and Somalia, and anywhere in the world that dedicated jihadists can ply their blood-curdling trade, people are murdered.

Pakistan, whose madrassas have churned out ready-made martyrs willing and eager to do Allah's will to further the advent of a global caliphate, does not recognize itself as the crucible of terror, although it is undergoing its own suffocatingly inexorable collapse into Islamist chaos.

The undeniable proofs that India has amassed in the wake of the Mumbai attacks have been rejected time and again by the government of Pakistan. A government itself teetering on the brink of collapse, but still resolved to defend itself against the indefensible.

The group of mind-automated terrorists, a mere ten in number, dividing themselves into five teams of two well-equipped assassins each, and setting out for the designated areas to be targeted, did their work well as dedicated servants of death. Their high-tech communications kept them in touch with their controllers who directed the slaughter to their ultimate satisfaction.

Zealous deliverers of terror and death, they dispatched themselves to the railway terminal where there were certain to be thongs of people, the popular Leopold Cafe where tourists were certain to be gathered, the Jewish Nariman House centre where the inhabitants would present as being of intense interests to jihadists, and the Taj Mahal and Oberoi hotels, teeming with Indian elite and international guests.

"This is a matter of the prestige of Islam", one of the assassins inside Nariman House was told, when he was urged to fight, and to kill. And when one of the gunmen, reporting to his handler was informed that "There are three ministers and one secretary of the Cabinet in your hotel. We don't know in which room. "Find those persons and then get whatever you want from India" he was instructed.

Who might possibly be in possession of that kind of sophisticated intelligence, ordering the terrorists in such a manner, other than Pakistan's Secret Service? To further encourage and inspire the murderers, their Pakistani-based handlers informed them throughout the procedure that their brutalities were being reported all over the world, they were celebrities of terror, their exploits being compared to 9-11.

"Everything is being recorded by the media. Inflict the maximum damage. Keep fighting. Don't be taken alive." And on another occasion, other instructions: "Kill all hostages, except the two Muslims. Keep your phone switched on so we can hear the gunfire." And in another report back to the Pakistan-based handlers: "We have three foreigners, including women from Singapore and China", then the response: "Kill them.".

At Nariman House, the two assassins there were urged to "Immediately kill them" if they felt themselves to be threatened by an imminent assault by Indian police. And, dedicated jihadists that they were, they obeyed.
